대학영어1 lab – 영어 글쓰기교실

대학영어1 수강생은 영어 글쓰기교실을 반드시 1회 이상 방문해야 합니다. 영어 글쓰기교실 성적은 대학영어1
성적 중 10% (10점)에 해당하며, 학생의 글을 평가해서 점수에 반영합니다.
**코로나로 인해 영어글쓰기 상담은 이메일로 진행됩니다. 주어진 기한 안에 초고를 업로드 하면 해당 상담 조교
로부터 코멘트를 이메일로 전달 받습니다. (상담 당일 오후 6시 전)

1. 상담기간: 2021년 9월 13일 – 2021년 11월 26일

2. 예약기간: 2021년 9월 1일 오전 9시– 2021년 9월 13일 오후 5시까지 (1점)
3. 이용방법:
a. mySNU 로그인
b. [수업/성적]→[수업]→[글쓰기교실]로 이동
c. 하단 달력에서 [예약]을 클릭하여 원하는 시간에 예약
(예약점수는 9월 13일 5시까지 부여되며, 상담은 11월 26일까지 한 번 받으면 됩니다.)
※ 예약기간동안 미예약시 감점(-1) 있으니 주의하세요.
※ 예약 취소는 상담일 2일전까지만 가능하며 무단 결석시 감점(-2) 있습니다.
d. 글쓰기 주제 중 하나를 선택 후 초고를 준비하여 상담 2일 전까지 mySNU 업로드
[수업/성적]→[수업]→[글쓰기교실]→[과제]→초고란에 첨부파일 업로드 후 저장
주의: 1. 영어 글쓰기교실에서는 주제에 맞는 글쓰기만 상담이 가능하며, 주제에 맞지 않는 글을 써 오면 결석
처리됩니다.
2. 초고는 예약을 먼저 한 후 상담 받기 2일 전까지만 올리면 됩니다.
3. 초고 및 수정본은 반드시 200단어 이상 500단어 이하여아 합니다.
(200단어 미만 결석 처리. 글자수가 아닙니다. 문서정보에 있는 단어 or 낱말 수)
e. 상담 후 7일 이내에 수정본을 업로드
[수업/성적]→[수업]→[글쓰기교실]→[과제]→수정본란에 첨부파일 업로드 후 저장
4. 성적: 예약(1점), 영문 초고 올리기(2점), 상담 받기(3점) 등 모든 과정을 엄수해서 수행하면 6점, 상담 후 수정
본을 7일내로 업로드하고 글쓰기 평가 점수 4점 만점 기준으로 총점은 10점입니다.

주제, 본문내용, 문단구성, 기타(어휘와 문법 등)
평가점수 총 4점
※ 상담 후, 수정본을 올리지 않으면 평가 점수는 0점으로 처리됩니다

감점 내용  동영상강좌시청 불성실(문단 구조에 맞지 않는 글을 쓸 경우): -0.5점

 결석: -2점 (다음 번 방문 시 감점, 200단어 이하 초고)
 200단어 이하 수정본: -2점

 500단어 이상 초고 또는 수정본: -0.5점 또는 -1점(초과 글자수에 따라 상이)

 표절 발견시 0점 처리 및 재방문 불가

5. 출석: 대학영어1 수강생은 수강 학기 내 영어 글쓰기교실을 최소한 1회이상 상담 받아야합니다.

(1회 이상도 상담 가능하나, 첫 번째 상담은 반드시 영어 글쓰기교실 주제로만 상담 받아야 합니다.)

<영어 글쓰기교실 주제>

※ 주제에 맞지 않는 글로 상담을 받으면 결석 처리됩니다

※아래 8가지 주제 중 한 가지 주제로 200단어 이상 500단어 이하로 작성하시기 바랍니다.

Write a cause/effect paragraph on one of the topics below.

Discussing both causes and effects will result in a lowered grade.

1. Explain one or more beneficial effects of failure by taking examples from your own experience.

2. Hatred against a specific group, such as men or women, a certain age group, mothers, or immigrants, has become
a serious social problem in South Korea. Discuss the effects of such hatred on our society. You may write about
hatred against a certain group or the social atmosphere in general.

3. Discuss the changes after the COVID-19 outbreak. What effects has the pandemic had on our life? Choose one
specific area, such as education, business, health, etc., and discuss the impact of the pandemic.

4. Discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on society. Choose one area among education, arts, job market, and
legal system and discuss its impact.

Write an argumentative paragraph on one of the topics below.

Make clear whether you agree, disagree, or agree on conditions. Failing to make your stance clear, including
agreeing with both sides or neither, will result in a lowered grade.

5. Currently, most departments at Seoul National University have core courses taught in English, and it is mandatory
for most students to take such courses. Do you think universities should have non-language courses* taught in
English? Why or why not?
* non-language courses: courses that are not mainly concerned with improving students’ foreign language skills

6. In South Korea, teenagers under 18 are exempt from the death penalty or life imprisonment, and children between
10 and 13 are not to be incarcerated but to be sent to a juvenile detention center. Should juveniles be tried as adults
for violent crimes? Why or why not?

7. Under the pandemic situation, SNU students have been studying from home for a year and a half and still counting.
From your own experience, which do you think is better for effective learning, studying online or on-campus?

8. Do you think bystanders have a moral responsibility to intervene when they witness crimes or accidents? Why or
why not?
