Project: Replacement of 2 no’s staircase pressurization fan

METHODE STATEMENT

Title:

Dismantling existing staircase pressurization fans and replacing new fan.

Quantity:

2 nos.

Equipment:

PPE: vest, gloves, helpmate, shoes, goggles.

Site Planning and Preparation

 Inform the concern authority about the job.

 Conduct the tool box talk about the job, job hazards and control Measure and Muster
points.
 Obtain the necessary work Permits to carry on the job.

Work Methodology:

(A) Dismantling of Existing Fans:

 Disconnect the electric power source from isolator switch.
 Open the electrical connection from fan.
 Isolate the connected duct from the fan.
 Open the foundation mounting spring to easy lifting the fan.
 Lifting the fan with strong lifting accessories, belt and keep in designated place.

(B) Fixing of New Fan.

 Lifting the fan with strong lifting accessories and keep on proper place with new mounting
spring and anchoring.
 Connecting new round to squire ducting pieces of fire rated construction as per site
dimension.
 Fixing the new fire rated flexible mouth connections between fans to duct.
 Connecting power cable from isolator switch to the fan terminal box.
 Keep in on mode the isolator switch.
 Start the fan for 30 second for run test.

Note: New installed fans are same as per existing data.
