The 5 different way that a grocery stores compete for the customers in terms of Product and
Service Design, Cost, Location, Quality, Quick Response, Flexibility, Service, Managers and
Workers, the grocery should have the following:

1) The grocery should create Mission and Vision


-It is important to a business particularly to a grocery store to have a mission and
vision for the business because these two play critical roles in every business. Having a
mission and vision can help communicate the purpose of the organization to stakeholders.
It also inform strategy development and can help the business develop the measurable
goals and objectives by which to gauge the success of the organization’s strategy. To
simply discuss everything, the mission and vision navigates the business into its desired
destiny which is success.
2) Know the scope of the business

-The management of the grocery store must know what are the needs and wants of
their customers. If you plan to have a business you must consider the location of your
business. You just don't create a business because you want it, but you created a business
because the people in that particular area needs your service in short you must be
knowledgeable enough what your customer want so that you know what products to sell.

3) Perform at the same time improve

-Having a business you must learn how to cope up with the needs of your every
customer. By performing the day to day operation of the business you can observe how
the business is working and by doing this you know what part of the operation to be
improve in order to better serve your customer. Just don't settle for less if you think
something needs improvement, as a manager or owner of a grocery store you should
think of a plan to improve your service because if you fail to do so you might lose your
customers. You should listen and take immediate action to your customers concern
regarding your services in order to have a good feedback and for the business to have a
good reputation in the competing market.

4) Compare your service with your competitor


-It is good for the business to have a comparison with the competitors. By
conducting research studies in the area of operation of your business you will know your
advantage and disadvantage from your competitor. You can conduct SWOT analysis to
know your strength and improve it and also you weakness to immediately fixed it. By
doing this you learn what part of the business is performing well and which part is not
and eventually apply your findings and recommendations to your business.
5) Strategize
- A business strategy is the means by which an organization sets out to achieve its
desired objectives. Having a good strategy will determine the fate of the business in its
long run operation. Being strategic in business means ensuring the organization’s core
competence is consistently focusing on those directional choices that will best move the
organization toward its new future, with the least risk and in the most orderly fashion. By
having a good strategy on how you will compete in the business world will bring you
success especially in a grocery store in which you have a lot of competitor.
