Giambattista Valli

Floral
A perennial favourite for wedding season, florals came
in many forms for S/S20 from modern neon at Cong
Tri to undone romance at Kristina Fidelskaya. Alex-
ander McQueen conjured hand-crafted lace into floral
forms that gave a nod to Victoriana.

Movement
Feathers took centre stage, evoking a sense of
movement and magic on the runway. It’s an ideal
investment if you’re looking for an impactful gown
eschewing subtlety for boldness. Prabal Gurung’s
monochrome offering played with proportions while
Ralph & Russo delivered screen siren allure with
feather-trimmed silk gowns cut to the floor.

High Shine
Fabrics felt appropriately indulgent for wedding sea-

to golden pleats and Cong Tri cut the highest quality
silk into forms which evoked molten metal. Givenchy
stole the show with a modern floor-length gown that
was nothing short of show-stopping.
