On the basis of online data availability, select any organization and describe the various operational
management decisions that the company has taken over a period of time

ABC motors:

A multinational company that designs, manufacturers, markets, and distributes vehicles and vehicles
parts.

The strategic objective is to maximize operations management support for the achievement of ABC
motors business goals in that automotive industry. The effort should also contribute to the company’s
ability to counteract competition with other large automobile manufacturers like Toyota.

Operational decisions or operating decisions are decisions made to manage day to day business. They
have to be taken care of by a manager in charge of the operations.

Operational management decisions taken by AbC motors over years are as follows:

1. Promotions: promotions involved alot of operating decisions which included how ABC company
should promote its new launched vehicle and which areas or mediums will give the best ROl after
promotions in addition to this, getting the promotional material ready and ensuring that the promotions
are done properly in the market and on time decisions will be taken time to time

2. Inventory management: Inventory management includes ordering, storing, using and then selling the
inventory. The operational management of ABC company made decisions to manage raw materials,
components, and processing of the product on time and manage levels of work in progress

3. Suppliers: ABC motors operational management made decisions regarding whether supplier is
providing high quality raw material for vehicles and its on best price they could ever had by barganing
and to check whether orders are placed on time or not

4. Employees: They made decisions regarding the rotation of employees from one role to another to
meet targets and decide holiday rotas. In addition to this they decided when workers have to perform
overtime and when not.
