READINGS IN PHILIPPINE HISTORY — M2: Historical Criticism Learning Activity 3

1. A person tells you that a member of your family met an accident and
asks you to meet him with a certain amount of money as down payment
for the hospital bill.
- Growing up, we were taught not to believe this kind of things
easily. When someone calls us or approach us, we need to
confirm it by calling another family member, for us to avoid
being scammed.

2. Somebody came out in the media accusing another person to be a

crook.
- A lot of things like this can be seen in social media, and what I
do is look for proof or evidence that what the accuser’s
accusation is true and I wait for the other party’s statement. Or
sometimes I try to avoid this kind of things to avoid stress.
