Big Idea: Vector analysis describes the position of a straight line in 2, 3 and 4 dimensions.

based on the forces acting upon it and be able to determine forces based upon the motion.

Essential Questions: Why do the planets rotate in orbit form?

Skills:

‣ E.1: Students will be able to demonstrate how circular motion (at constant speed) requires
an acceleration directed towards the center of the circular path.

‣ E.2: Students can evaluate the forces (draw a force diagram) that act during circular motion
identifying the direction of the net force.
