Principles of Marketing had always thought me the important role of customers in a business to earn

profit. A good customer service will result to good business cash flow. If a company wants to be
successful and surpass its competitors, understanding their customer’s needs is really essential. Knowing
your customers is the key to giving them good service. To give good customer care one must be able to
deliver what you promise. But great customer care involves getting to know your customers so well that
you can anticipate their needs and exceed their expectations. That is why research and planning plays a
vital role in it. Needs are satisfied by necessities and are everlasting.

The Principles of Marketing refers to human needs states of felt deprivation. These states include
physical, individual, and social. A humans physical state of need would be the necessities to survive with
the basic necessity such as food, clothing, shelter, and water. A humans individual state of need is that
to know they are their own person and be aware of themselves through self expression and knowledge.
A humans social state of need is the need to feel accepted and affection. Needs eventually become
wants. When needs are shaped by an individuals personality or culture, they become wants. Those
wants subsequently fulfill those needs. For example, I need energy to get me through basketball practice
however I want a tasty sandwich to satisfy that need. If a particular want is strong enough to meet a
need, it turns into demand. Consumers will demand products with value and quality to satisfy their
personal needs. Before marketers can communicate value to create a demand for a product, they need
to understand that consumers are mainly concerned about satisfying their personal needs. Every
demand for a product begins with a consumers need. A company’s objective is to satisfy their customers
needs. These needs form what a company produces.
