 PERSONAL STATEMENT
Respected Sir or Madam,
I am Zeeshan s/o Deedar Ali Memon, born on 15th of January 1997 at District Hyderabad,
Sindh, Pakistan. Here, I am writing to express my interest in applying for a Master’s Degree
Program in (AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING) starting in September 2020. I believe my educational
background would enable me to make a strong contribution at the University. I mention that I have
completed my 16 years of Education and got Graduation degree in the field of (Agricultural
Engineering) in December 2019 from Sindh Agriculture University, Pakistan. My academic as well
as social performance has been always on top of class. I received 83.3% out of 100% and got 5th
position in my graduation degree at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Sindh Agriculture
University Tandojam, Sindh, Pakistan. I was an active somehow indulgent student among others
during my undergraduate studies, very often involved in many curricular and co-curricular
activities. I have done my two internships one on the topic (HIGH EFFICIENCY OF IRRIGATION
SYSTEM) and other one from the National Agriculture Research Centre (NARC), Islamabad on the
topic (The GIS system). I did my final year research project on “Automation of Drip Irrigation System
Through Solenoid Valve” and has published a research paper. Contents of my project was
(complaint from farmers, that in drip irrigation system, farmer/labor has to be present in the field
(daily) to irrigate the field (turn ON/OFF system). To tackle this problem the study was conducted
to build and test a device, which is capable of controlling and monitoring the drip irrigation system
automatically) with the group of ten members in which I was made the Group Leader. While
working on this project I found strong motivation in myself towards graduate study and research
in the area artificial intelligence in Agriculture engineering. Moreover, I would like to continue
my studies in order to gain knowledge and experiences by academic research and I believe
Master’s Degree Program in (AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING) would offer me the possibility
of receiving the complete picture of all aspects of this field. If I will get selected for this program,
I will have the opportunity to learn in an international environment, which will give me the
privilege to create new relationships with people from different culture.

REREARCH TOPIC
The world has been growing fast in Agriculture Technologies, by making smart
machineries, which has changed the life style of farmers. The automation in agriculture is one of
the great adoptions by Agriculture Engineers. The research will be concerned with the sensors-
based technologies to modified the Agriculture equipment’s and develop the smart methods for
the farmers, it is now essential to make machines which consumed little efforts of the farmers and
get more yield from the field in short time due rapid growth in papulation of world. Use of
microcontroller or microprocessor with various sensors according to the conditions like, DHT11,
FC28 so many more sensors will use to perform objectives.

MOTIVATION TOWARDS THIS PROGRAM

After obtaining my Graduation degree in March 2019, I started searching of scholarships
to flourish my Masters education, to perform my duty for my country. Because, I analyzed in my
career that still higher education is required for getting my goals. I found via internet that Chinese
Scholarship Council has announced Chinese Government Scholarships, where I found Jiangsu
University and felt that my dreams are going to be true now.

THE REASON TO STUDY IN CHINA

Now the question arises, “Why China?” China’s rapid economic growth and diverse
technological advancements are internationally recognized and are the main reasons for people to
study in China. On top of that, education standards and the global ranking of Chinese
universities are great reasons for choosing China as the base for my continuing education. I
have a few friends studying in China and they are full of admiration for China and its universities,
which is very encouraging. Moreover, China’s diverse cultural values and the friendly relationship
between Pakistan and China make me feel as if China is my second home. My family fully
supports my choice of China for my further education. All these reasons put together make
China an ideal place for me to do my Master’s degree.

THE REASON FOR CHOSING (AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING)

Pakistan is an agriculture country whose major source of economy is from agriculture
commodities. the Agriculture Engineering is the combination of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical
Engineering, which reason I did my bachelor in Agriculture Engineering, where I studied many
subjects theoretically and practically like, Surveying & Leveling, Engineering Mechanics, Soil
Mechanics, IC Engine & Tractors, Computer Programing and Applications, Soil physics and
Applied Electricity. In my bachelor study I realize that scenario of technologies in Agriculture
become mandatory to overcome different parameters weather relate to soil or water, I believe that
my previous study is unconfined me for my Masters study.
Moreover, I consider myself to be a good candidate for Chinese Government Scholarship
because I am young, energetic, hardworking, visionary, and motivated person who believes that I
can do something for the benefit of my country to which I have been working. I believe that I can
do much better if I am trained and developed through a master in Power Machinery & Engineering.
I would like to end by saying that that I am fully aware that a career in research and
academics requires a high level of intelligence, unwavering dedication and a lot of sacrifice. I am
confident that I would meet all the above demands, and hence I appeal to the Graduate Admissions
Committee to consider me for admission, and financial aid.
