Subject: Extension of the last date for submission of Thesis to NBEMS by

DNB/DrNB Final Theory - June 2021 exam going candidates

1. It is mandatory for DNB/DrNB trainees who are eligible to appear in a

forthcoming DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination to submit their Theses for
Assessment at least six months prior to the Examination. Accordingly, the
DNB/DrNB trainees who are eligible to appear in the DNB Final Theory
Examination - June 2021 were scheduled to submit their theses by 31st
December 2020.

2. In view of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the last date for submission of thesis was
extended till 31st March 2021 vide NBEMS notice dated 22.12.2020.

3. In terms of the clause 4.4 and 5.5 of the Information Bulletin for DNB/DrNB Final
Examination June 2021, DNB/DrNB trainees who have failed to submit their
theses to NBEMS for assessment by 31st March 2021 are not eligible to apply for
DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination - June 2021.

4. Now, it has been decided to extend the last date for submission of thesis for the
purpose of eligibility for DNB/DrNB Final Examination June 2021 to 26th July
2021, as a ONE TIME RELAXATION. The aforementioned clause of the
Information Bulletin for DNB/DrNB Final Examination June 2021 may also be
read accordingly.
