Learning Packet 1 I Practicum in Psychology

Me and my Profession

As for what we're seeing today, many cities and provinces around the
Philippines are struggling to cope with the epidemic, the rising number of patients
infected with COVID-19, and those who are facing discrimination, stress,
overthinking, and other mental health difficulties. One of the reasons I decided
Psychology as a study is to use and demonstrate my expertise and passion to assist
and provide the finest healthy lifestyle options. To translate the strategies in order
to assist people in making better decisions in their daily life, particularly in certain
circumstances or situations in which they are confronted with the pandemic.

As a student aspiring to be a psychometrician, it will not only benefit the

clients, but it will also provide me with a lot of situations and knowledge,
particularly in the areas of family issues, individuals experiencing stress, depression,
discrimination, and so on, because I have personally witnessed their problems.
Psychometricians and psychology practitioners also treat persons with mental
illness and major psychological illnesses, while others assist people with tough
transitions, family dysfunction, interpersonal connection problems, divorce, and the
death of a family member or friend.

In the field of practice, I want to give or provide therapy to couples who need
assistance working through relationship issues, as well as parents and children who
require support in confronting and overcoming family concerns, and individuals
also want to learn how to investigate and comprehend themselves, how they came
to be who they are, and what they need to do to become the people they aspire to be.
