I am amazed at how you have explained wonderfully the advantages and

disadvantages of tree felling in our environment. I agree that the excessive loss of forest
trees is one of the major concerns in increasing the damage to the environment.
Deforestation causes carbon dioxide emission, soil erosion, habitat destruction, and
loss of biological diversity (Cairoli, 2018). For the emission of carbon dioxide, forest
removes the CO2 from the atmosphere and help worsen the greenhouse effect that can
be harmful to our environment. Erosion of the soil washes into nearby waterways that
causes increase sedimentation and damages the pollution that the people drink from
these water sources, thus, it affects human health. Habitat destruction and loss of
biological diversity simply mean that they deprive natural resources and the right to live
in our environment, when this happens, several people will be affected as well as the
animals that live in the forests.
I’m also glad because you mentioned that this matter should be addressed in schools
so that the students will have awareness about preserving our environment and by
stating several laws for the proper permits that should be considered in tree felling since
we know that numerous people are still violating the rules and regulations about this
subject in the present time. As a result, I've learned a more comprehensive
understanding of this subject matter.
As a student, aside from engaging people to plant trees, what other examples you can
share with the students that may help them to create a healthy and non-toxic
environment? You can provide examples that they can do even if they are just at home
since we are in the current pandemic situation.
Thank you.
