Approach
An approach could be seen as your perspective, ideology, belief or theoretical
stance on something. It encompasses a set of logical assumptions that could be
made for better comprehension of issues.
An approach is a way of dealing with something or somebody. it refers to the
direction and theoretical structure. It needs to be decided before selecting a
method. There can be more than one way to approach a task.
In other words, an approach is our thought process about how to go about
solving a problem.
For example:
In analyzing the work of literature, we can use different theories, like the
novel, “Tess of the D’Urberville”, one can analyses it through feminist theory or
Karl Marx theory or both.
Method
A METHOD is a target plan or set of orderly procedures that are based on a
credible approach. It reveals what needs to be done in a systematic way and
how to focus on achieving those goals.
Method is the way in which something is done. Method is always organized,
structured and systematic. It can refer to a step by step description of tasks to be
completed in order to perform a task.
A method is the process used or the steps taken to deal with an issue or a
person. Hence Method basically explains how to do something and how
something is done.
In other words a method is a technique that you can use to design the solution
for a problem.
Moreover a method is the level at which theory is put into practice and at which
choices are made about the particular skills to be taught, the content to be
taught, and the order in which the content will be presented.
