THE CORNET DAILY DEVOTIONAL

HOLD FAST TO THE TRUTH

Wednesday 1st September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being
deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast
been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a
child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise
unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 3:13-15
KJV)

The Word of God shows us that there shall be a great falling away in the last
days. People who appeared to walk with Christ at first will turn aside and take a
different direction. Many people will be deceived, giving heed to seducing
spirits and doctrines of devils.

1 John 2:18 says “…as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are
there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” (KJV) If
John lived in the last time, then we are living in the last seconds of the last time.
There are many antichrists in the world today but the chief of them is yet to be
revealed.

In the next verse, John says “They went out from us, but they were not of us;
for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but
they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”
(1 John 2:19 KJV) He is telling us that some of those antichrists “went out from
them” that means they had been acting as though they were part of the church.
But when they marched out, it became clear that they were not part of the body
of Christ in the first place.
This calls for spiritual sensitivity among the brethren; such that they are not
misled by the antichrists that sit and talk in churches yet they are not of God. If
you are a minister, endeavor to open the Scriptures as you expound the Word of
God to people; so that they can study it for themselves after. Now more than
ever, it’s expedient for men to know the Word of God personally.

Child of God; sharpen your spirit with the Word of Truth. Take time to open the
Bible and study it comprehensively. When you listen to a sermon; crosscheck
with the Scriptures and confirm that the things you heard are true. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

The Holy Spirit unveils to me the infallible Truth of God as I study and
meditate on the Word of God. I’m firmly rooted and grounded in the present
truth, therefore I am not susceptible to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.
Glory to God! I give my full attention to words that are consistent with sound
doctrine as it is written in the Scriptures. Hallelujah!

1 John 4:1-3 KJV

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:
because many false prophets are gone out into the world. (2) Hereby know ye
the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh is of God: (3) And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye
have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Hebrews 4:12-13 AMP

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active,
operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword,
penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal]
spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing
and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the
heart. (13) And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all
things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with
Whom we have to do.

SHARPEN YOUR SPIRIT

Thursday 2nd September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus
Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of
antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already
is it in the world.” (1 John 4:2-3 KJV)

An antichrist is one who stands or seats in the place of Christ and opposes that
which is of Christ. The final antichrist has not yet been revealed but the spirit of
antichrist is already in the world. This is the reason the Word warns us saying:
“…don't believe everything you hear. Carefully weigh and examine what
people tell you. Not everyone who talks about God comes from God. There are
a lot of lying preachers loose in the world.” (1 John 4:1 MSG)

It’s important for us to be sensitive in this time because antichrists don’t come
out plainly and say “Hello everybody, I am Christ. Follow me.” They come in a
sweet way and seduce people; they come quoting Scriptures, just like the devil
did when he tempted Jesus. The words he spoke were right but the heart wasn’t
right. Jesus didn’t say, “That’s not in the Scriptures!” He knew that those things
were written; so He addressed the heart of the message.

Likewise, when your spirit is well sharpened, you will notice when there is a
problem with what you are hearing; you will be able to discern the heart of the
message somebody is preaching. Hallelujah! Someone says “How can I sharpen
my spirit?” Have fellowship with the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.
Hebrews 4:12-13 says “…the word of God is a discerner of the thoughts and
intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his
sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him…” (KJV) The
Word knows the thoughts and intents of the heart; He can discern the motive
behind what people say and do; no creature is concealed from His sight; all
things are open and exposed to the Word. Hallelujah!

Concerning the Holy Spirit, John said “…the anointing which ye have received
of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the
same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even
as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” (1 John 2:27 KJV) Allow the
Holy Spirit to teach you; He will guide you into all Truth. Glory to God!

When you walk in the intimate fellowship with the Word of God and His Spirit;
you will learn to listen beyond the words that are spoken and to see beyond
what is visible to the physical eyes. Then it shall be impossible for anybody to
distract you or lead you astray. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

My spirit is sharpened daily through fellowship with the Spirit of God and His
Word. The Holy Spirit guides me into all truth as I yield to His training.
Hallelujah! Through my interaction with the Word of God, I am conditioned to
discern the thoughts and intents of men’s hearts. Therefore I listen beyond the
words people speak and I look beyond the things they do. I refuse to be
distracted from the course that God prepared for me ahead of time. Instead, I
patiently run the race set before me with my eyes set on Jesus Christ, the author
and finisher of my faith. Hallelujah!

RESURRECTION POWER I
Friday 3rd September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“…I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ
Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count
them but dung, that I may win Christ… That I may know him, and the power
of his resurrection…” (Philippians 3:8-10 KJV)

Paul had a great desire to know Christ and the power of His resurrection; so
much so that he was willing to count everything He had ever gained in life as
loss. What a wonderful attitude! If someone doesn’t meditate deeply on the
Word of God, he will look at the resurrection of Christ as something ordinary.
He will know that Jesus was raised up on the 3rd day and that is all he will be
thinking about. But there is a lot more to it. Hallelujah!

What happened at the resurrection of Jesus Christ? Matthew 27:51-53 tells us

that “…the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened;
and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves
after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.”
(KJV) Powerful! When Lazarus was raised from the dead, he came out alone;
but at the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the power was too much; numerous saints
were raised to life. Glory to God!

It’s because of the resurrection power that our Lord Jesus is called “…the
firstborn from the dead…” (Colossians 1:18 KJV) Prior to His resurrection,
everybody who was raised to life, was only raised up physically; they were not
raised up from spiritual death (that is being dead in sin). Jesus was the first
person to come out of that kind of death. Praise God!
Jesus died and went to hell with the sin of the world; but when God raised Him
from the dead, He was without sin. He had become one with your sin but the
resurrection power separated Him from it; and not only Him but also all those
who would believe on Him. Hallelujah!

Do you know the big thing? The resurrection power has been given to us now.
If you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you have been sealed
with the Holy Spirit and He came with the full magnificent power of God! This
power resides in you now. Praise God forever more!

CONFESSION

The same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me by the Holy
Spirit. Hallelujah! As I commune with the Spirit of revelation, the eyes of my
spirit are flooded with light to understand the exceeding greatness of the
resurrection power of Christ. I am conscious that the full magnificent power of
God separated me from sin; therefore I live a triumphant and victorious life in
the mighty name of Jesus, hallelujah!

RESURRECTION POWER II
Saturday 4th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know…

what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,
according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ,
when he raised him from the dead…” (Ephesians 1:18-20 KJV)

Apostle Paul prayed for the saints that the eyes of their spirits would be flooded
with light such that they would know the exceeding greatness of God’s power
given to us who believe. He describes it as “…the same mighty power that
raised Christ from the dead…” (Ephesians 1:19-20 NLT) Hallelujah!

That shows us that the power God has given to us came into reality at the
resurrection of Jesus Christ. So when Jesus walked on the face of the earth;
raising the dead, healing the sick, opening blind eyes and deaf ears… He wasn’t
operating with the resurrection power. The power that men of faith worked with
in the Old Testament when they parted waters, raised the dead, subdued
kingdoms, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire… was
only a shadow of what we have now.

Even at the time of creation, God wasn’t operating with this power. Job 26:13-
14 lets us know that “By His breath the heavens are garnished; His hand
pierced the [swiftly] fleeing serpent. Yet these are but… the outskirts of His
ways or the mere fringes of His force, the faintest whisper of His voice! Who
dares contemplate or who can understand the thunders of His full,
magnificent power?” (AMP) In other words: God garnished the heavens with
only a little portion of His power. How amazing!
The full magnificent power of God was manifest at the resurrection of Jesus
Christ. And guess what, you received this power when the Holy Spirit came to
live in you (Acts 1:8). Hallelujah! It’s important for you to have an
understanding of this power child of God.

This understanding doesn’t come by reading or hearing about the power; the
Spirit of God has to bring it to your attention, He has to reveal this power to
you. That’s why Apostle Paul didn’t just write a letter explaining the
resurrection power; He prayed for the saints that God would unveil this power
to them by the Spirit of wisdom and revelation.

Take time to fellowship with the Holy Spirit, He will reveal to you the
exceeding greatness of the power you have received. Then you shall be able to
use it efficiently and effectively to accomplish the things God has committed to
your trust. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

The resurrection power of Christ is resident in me. Glory to God! As I

commune with the Holy Spirit, He reveals to me the exceeding greatness of this
power that God has given me to function with. I stir up the resurrection power
in me through prayer and I utilize it to cause tremendous changes on earth to the
glory of God. Hallelujah!

ALIVE WITH JESUS CHRIST

Sunday 5th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“If we get included in Christ's sin-conquering death, we also get included in

his life-saving resurrection.” (Romans 6:8 MSG)

Some translations say: “If we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live
with Him,” but that’s not very accurate. It makes it look like “living with
Christ” will start in the future and yet it’s not so. The first part of the verse says
“we died with Christ”. When did He die? He died in the past; so we died
together with Him in the past. Jesus is not dead anymore; therefore we are not
dead either. He is alive today; and so are we. Hallelujah! We are alive with Him
now. Glory to God!

Just as we were included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we are included in

His life-saving resurrection. Praise the Lord! Romans 6:9 says “Knowing that
Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more
dominion over him.” (KJV) Powerful! You were raised up together with Christ
child of God. Therefore death has no more dominion over you either.

Someone says “Pastor David, do you mean spiritual death?” I mean both
spiritual and physical death. Reason being that the Scripture doesn’t suggest to
us that Jesus can still die physically but not spiritually. “How about everybody
else who has believed in Jesus but still died?” Well, the Word of God is
absolute Truth, it’s not dependent on the experiences of men.

Come to think of it; God has delivered to us divine health; so that we never have
to get sick. Jesus Christ took away the sin that brought the sickness and
therefore no inhabitant of Zion should say he is sick (Isaiah 33:24); the vast
majority of Christians acknowledge this Truth. Are there some children of God
who have gotten sick? Oh yea, but that didn’t change the Truth of God’s Word.
We still believe in divine health and healing, and we are preaching it and
manifesting the results. Hallelujah!

Likewise, we don’t stop believing that Jesus abolished death simply because
some brethren have died. 2 Timothy 1:10 lets us know that “Jesus Christ… has
made death of no effect, bringing life and immortality to light through the
gospel;” (MKJV) Hallelujah! You are alive with Jesus today; and death has no
more dominion over you. Take a hold of this Truth by faith and walk in it.
Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I died together with Christ and now I am alive with Him. Glory to God! The
same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me and He has quickened
my natural body. Death has no more dominion over me because Jesus abolished
death, bringing life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Praise the Lord
God; who satisfies me with long life and length of days to the glory of His
Blessed Name. Hallelujah!

CHANGE STRENGTH
Monday 6th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall
mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they
shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 KJV)

Wonderful portion of Scripture! The KJV puts the word “their” in brackets to
let us know that it wasn’t there in the original text; the translators added it to
help us understand the verse better. But in this place, the word “their” conceals
what God is saying. So the verse reads, “But they that wait upon the LORD
shall renew strength…” Hallelujah!

And then the Hebrew word “châlaph” translated “renew” doesn’t mean to renew
what you have. The Amplified version captures the meaning, it says “…those
who wait for the Lord …shall change and renew their strength and power…”
(Isaiah 40:31 AMP), “châlaph” means to change. Praise the Lord!

Châlaph differs from the Hebrew word “châdash” which David used in Psalms
51:10 where he said, “…O God… renew a right spirit within me.” (KJV)
Châdash means to renew, rebuild or repair. But what we have in our theme
verse means to change by abolishing the first one and replacing it with
something new. Hallelujah!

So the Scripture is telling us that “Those who wait upon the LORD shall change
strength;” in other words: they shall exchange strength; they give away human
strength and receive God’s divine strength. This is why they run, and never
grow weary; they walk, and never faint. For “…The everlasting God, the Lord,
the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary…” (Isaiah
40:28 AMP) Hallelujah!

Verse 30 says “Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young
men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;” (Isaiah 40:30 AMP) If you
renew human strength, you will still faint and grow weary. But when you take
on God’s strength, you will never get tired. Hallelujah! You will be able to
accomplish everything that God commits to your trust because you are working
with divine strength and energy. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

As I wait upon the Lord through quiet meditation and prayer, I exchange human
strength for divine strength. I accomplish every task that God commits to me
without getting tired or growing weary because I operate with the strength of
God Almighty, hallelujah! I am continually strengthened with might in my inner
man by the Holy Spirit. Glory to God!

MOUNT UP WITH NEW WINGS

Tuesday 7th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall
mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they
shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 KJV)

Those who wait upon the Lord shall exchange strength; “they shall mount up
with wings as eagles;” What is he talking about? There is something peculiar
about eagles; from time to time, they undergo molting; their old feathers fall off
and new ones grow in their place. Then the eagles emerge stronger than they
were before. This is one of the reasons they are able to live up to 70 years of
age.

So the Word is telling us that those who wait upon the Lord shall mount up with
new wings like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk,
and not faint. Hallelujah!

David said “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits…
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like
the eagle's.” (Psalms 103:2,5 KJV) Interesting! The man understood that an
eagle could actually renew its youth. You will see it today when it is young and
fresh; and after five years, it will still look the same. Why? Its youth is
continually renewed. Praise the Lord!

Likewise when you wait upon the Lord, you mount up with new wings like
eagles; you are ever increasing in strength by the Spirit of the Lord. You have
been ministering for ten years now, and you still have the same energy and
vibrancy you started out with. Maybe you used to walk at a certain pace; your
speed doesn’t reduce over the years. It can only get higher. Glory! Psalms 84:7
says “They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion…” (KJV)
Hallelujah!

Take off time to wait on the Lord daily; you can do this quietly or while
speaking in tongues. As you do so, the Lord will talk to you. He will show you
great and marvelous things. He will instruct you and guide you along the path
that He has set out for you. Then you shall be infused with divine energy to
sustain you from season to season.

CONFESSION

My strength is renewed daily as I wait upon the Lord through quiet time and
speaking in tongues. As I fellowship with God; He speaks to me and gives me
direction. He reveals to me great and marvelous things that are fenced in and
hidden from natural senses. Hallelujah! My youth is perpetually renewed like
the eagle’s. I advance from strength to strength by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Glory to God!

NEW GRACE
Wednesday 8th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received… one grace after
another…” (John 1:16 AMP)

He’s talking about Jesus Christ; the Word that became flesh. Of His fullness we
have all received one grace after another. Hallelujah! From time to time, God
releases new grace into your life through His Word. When you receive His
Word with faith, then you are able to walk in the grace He has availed you. For
“…it is of faith, that it might be by grace…” (Romans 4:16 KJV) Glory to
God!

All through the Bible, when God gave somebody an assignment, He gave him a
revelation of the grace he would walk in. When He came to Abram, He told him
“Your name will no more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham;
for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.” (Genesis
17:5 WEB) God released grace for him to father nations. Then Abraham had to
take a hold of that grace and walk in it. Glory to God!

After the death of Moses, the Lord told Joshua to take his place and lead the
children of Israel. He said to him, “…as I was with Moses, so I will be with
thee…” (Joshua 1:5 KJV) But then Moses didn’t lead the Israelites into the
Promised Land; so if Joshua was going to accomplish that, he needed to change
grace. In chapter 13 the Lord spoke to Joshua again and released a new grace;
the grace that gave him the ability to take possession of the land. He received
new instructions on how to take over the land (Joshua 13:6). Hallelujah!
Maybe you have been working with a certain grace this year; come 2022, there
is new grace for you. So what do you do? Wait upon the Lord and change
strength; because the strength of 2021 will not suffice for you to fulfill God’s
purpose in 2022. And of course, God is not limited to the calendars of men; so
He doesn’t have to wait for December to release new grace for you. Hallelujah!

If you have been leading a cell of 15 people for two years now, it’s time to
change the grace. Why is it that even when you bring in new people, the total
number remains the same? The grace hasn’t changed; so you bring 10 people,
and 10 leave. Same thing with church; when you have a particular grace at work
in church, the number of members will remain the same no matter what. For
you to move on to the next level, the grace must be changed. Hallelujah!

The same applies to work; if somebody is operating with the same grace, he will

REST IN THE LORD

Thursday 9th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest;
and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.” (Isaiah 28:11-12 KJV)

In 1 Corinthians 14 when Apostle Paul was teaching on tongues, he said “In the
law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto
this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.” (1
Corinthians 14:21 KJV) That’s a quotation from our theme Scripture. Praise the
Lord!

So when the Word says “with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak
to this people,” He is dealing with speaking in tongues. Then He says “This is
the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing:”
this implies that speaking in tongues is one of the ways you can rest in the Lord.
Hallelujah!

Resting in the Lord is akin to waiting upon the Lord. Psalms 37:7 says “Take
your rest in the Lord, waiting quietly for him…” (BBE) Glory to God! So
when you speak in tongues, you change strength; just as the Scripture assures us
that “…those who wait for the Lord …shall change and renew their strength
and power…” (Isaiah 40:31 AMP) Hallelujah!

As you speak in tongues, you are strengthened and reinforced with mighty
power in the inner man by the Holy Spirit. Then you are able to work with Him
to accomplish the things God has given you to do. Hallelujah! If you had some
plan that would ordinarily take 10 years to accomplish: as you speak in tongues,
you are quickened; and you find that in one year, you are able to do
superabundantly above what you had planned. Praise God forever!

This is the life that the Father ordained for you child of God; it’s not obvious to
the understanding of men. Hallelujah! They cannot tell where you are coming
from or where you are going. John 3:8 says “The wind blows (breathes) where
it wills; and though you hear its sound, yet you neither know where it comes
from nor where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
(AMP) Blessed be God!

Set aside time daily to speak in tongues intensively and activate the supernatural
life of the Spirit in you. Then you shall change strength and produce exceptional
results in life. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I take my rest in the Lord, waiting quietly for Him through speaking in tongues.
Hallelujah! I am continually charged up and energized by the Spirit of God,
therefore I rise higher and higher like an edifice. The Lord works in me, through
me and with me to accomplish tasks excellently at a supernatural speed. Glory
to God! My life is a manifestation of the virtues and perfections of God, who
called me out of darkness into His marvelous light. Hallelujah!

TAKE OFF THE LIMITS

Friday 10th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in
you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” (Philippians 1:6 KJV)

God has a vision for your life and He will perform it until the day of Jesus
Christ. If you can take off the limits and trust Him, He will guide you along the
path that He prearranged for you to walk in. Hallelujah! John 3:8 says “The
wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where
it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
(NIV) Hallelujah! Your life is unpredictable because your steps are ordered by
the Lord, not by human projections.

At times you find that someone has this fixed idea in his mind concerning how
God’s plan will be effected in his life. He knows that God is going to
accomplish it but then he has a step by step process that he expects God to
follow. Like there are people who are sure that God has called them into
ministry but they haven’t started out yet.

Someone says “I need to get a good job first and take care of my grandmother in
the village.” That’s a beautiful thing; but it shouldn’t limit you from making
progress in the purpose of God for your life. God is well able to supply all your
need and provide for your grandmother as well. Hallelujah!

Another person says “I’m going to work for five years, earn enough money for
the work of the ministry and then I will do it” or “I will start ministry when my
child is done with primary school.” Take the limits off. God has availed
sufficient grace for you to accomplish every task that He gives you to do.
Someone knows that God has called him to prophesy, but he is not doing it. He
believes that someday as he is praying, he will reach a certain level where
prophecy just bursts forth irrepressibly. No brother! One doesn’t have to fall to
the ground before he can prophesy; it can happen if he is still a child but God
expects us to grow. Praise God!

You ask a believer, why aren’t you laying hands on the sick? He is waiting for
that moment when he approaches a sick man and his hand starts to vibrate.
Probably because he saw a minister whose hand vibrates when he is going to lay
hands on the sick. Do not allow that to limit the working of God in your life.

So many prophecies have been spoken over your life, but they haven’t come to
manifestation. What do you do? Build yourself up “…on your most holy faith
[make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy
Spirit;” (Jude 1:20 AMP) Speak in tongues and charge yourself up in the Spirit;
then work with Him to establish the will of God in your life, ministry, family,
nation and the world beyond. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

My life is unpredictable because my steps are ordered by the Lord and not by
human projections. Blessed be God! I am confident that He who begun a good
work in me shall perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. I lay aside all the limits
because God is boundless; He is well able to do over and above my
expectations. He leads me in the paths that He prearranged for me to walk in.
Glory to God! As I speak in tongues, I’m built up and charged to establish the
will of God in my life, ministry, family and workplace. Hallelujah!

SPEAKING IN TONGUES IS A PRINCIPLE

Saturday 11th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith
[make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy
Spirit;” (Jude 1:20 AMP)

When you speak in tongues, you build yourself up on your most holy faith; you
become responsive to the Word of Christ. Hallelujah! There could be some
arguments in your mind about an instruction that God has given you but as you
speak in tongues, the Holy Spirit will cause you to go in the right direction.

Consider a man who hires a contractor to put up a building on his land, and he
gives him all the money required to complete the work. Then the man returns
home and he’s thinking “the building should not go up”; what do you think will
happen? The building will most definitely go up. Reason being that the man
already set a principle in place. The workers are on site working and they have
all the necessary materials and equipment. So the building will go up regardless
of what the man thinks.

Likewise, speaking in tongues is a principle in the realm of the spirit. You may
think you are not able to do something but while you speak in tongues, you will
be affirming the will of God, you will be saying “I’ll do it in Jesus’ name. Yes!
It’s going to work by the power of the Spirit.” Hallelujah! You will build
yourself up and make progress, rising higher and higher like an edifice because
a principle has been set up and it is working. Glory to God!

Apostle Paul experienced this too; he said “I thank my God, I speak with
tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18 KJV). He was speaking in
tongues but look at what he thought about himself, “…I am the least of the
apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the
church of God.” (1 Corinthians 15:9 KJV) That’s what was going through his
mind, but as he prayed in the Spirit, God was saying a different thing.

And what did God establish; his mind or the tongues? 1 Corinthians 15:10 says
“…by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed
upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all…”
(KJV) He laboured much more than all the apostles in his time. But even here
he tells us what was on his mind; “…yet not I, but the grace of God which was
with me.” (1 Corinthians 15:10 KJV)

He looked at himself as the least of the apostles, but because he spoke in

tongues, the Lord used him mightily. The Holy Spirit testifies in Scripture that
“…God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:” (Acts 19:11 KJV)
How powerful! That’s the beauty of speaking in tongues; the Holy Spirit
positions you in the centre of God’s will for your life. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

My sufficiency is of God; who has made me an able minister of the New

Testament. I make good use of the gift of speaking in diverse tongues and build
myself up on my most holy faith. The Holy Spirit helps me in prayer; He aligns
me to the good, acceptable and perfect will of God for my life. Hallelujah! As I
yield myself to the Lord, He works in me mightily; causing me to make
tremendous progress in life. Glory to God!

groanings which cannot be uttered. (27) And he that searcheth the hearts
knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the

GOD TALKS TO YOU

Sunday 12th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.”
(Isaiah 28:11 KJV)

When Apostle Paul was teaching on tongues, he said “…one who speaks in a
tongue speaks not to men but to God…” (1 Corinthians 14:2 ESV) So when
you speak in tongues, you are talking to God. Hallelujah! In verse 21, he picked
up what Prophet Isaiah wrote in our theme verse, “In the law it is written, With
men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people…” (1
Corinthians 14:21 KJV)

Here the Scripture is revealing to us another dimension of speaking in tongues.

He says “with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people”;
that means when people are speaking in tongues, God is also talking to them;
He is giving them some information. Hallelujah!

The next verse shows us something peculiar about the people that God is talking
to; it says “To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the
weary to rest; and this is the refreshing” (Isaiah 28:12 KJV) Hallelujah! The
people who are speaking in tongues will cause the weary to rest; which implies
that they are not the ones who are weary, they are God’s ambassadors.
Hallelujah!

As God talks to you in tongues, He is preparing you to minister to those who are
weary. He is preparing you to take over nations for the Kingdom of Light. He is
building you up to a place where you are able to bless other people. Hallelujah!
This is why it’s important for you to interpret the tongues you speak. 1
Corinthians 14:13 says “…let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray
that he may interpret.” (KJV)

Through interpretation of tongues, you decode divine mysteries and attain a

clear understanding of the will of God concerning your life, the church and the
nations of the world in the present time. Then you are able to work with the
Spirit to establish God’s will on earth as it is in heaven. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

The Lord communicates His thoughts, plans, and purposes to me as I speak in

tongues. I interpret the tongues that I speak and I pray accordingly with the
understanding. I dispense divine blessings to people through the ideas,
prophecies, instructions, comfort and revelation that the Lord relays to me in
prayer. Hallelujah! I work together with the Holy Spirit to establish God’s will
in my life, ministry, family, work, community and nation. Glory to God!

TONGUES ARE FOR SOUL WINNING

Monday 13th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Thus [unknown] tongues are meant for a [supernatural] sign, not for
believers but for unbelievers [on the point of believing]…” (1 Corinthians
14:22 AMP)

Tongues are meant for a supernatural sign to unbelievers who are at the point of
believing; that means the Gospel has been preached to them already. They are
only left with believing; when you speak in tongues, it will be a sign to them
and they will believe. Glory to God!

On the first day of the church, the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and
they spoke in tongues. A multitude of people gathered around and they “…were
all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these
which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue,
wherein we were born?” (Acts 2:7-8 KJV) Then Peter stood up and preached
the Gospel, and “…the same day there were added unto them about three
thousand souls.” (Acts 2:41 KJV) Hallelujah!

When you study the book of Acts, you will discover that the believers didn’t
just speak in tongues to finish prayer meetings. Every time they spoke in
tongues, what followed was soul winning; and that’s how it ought to be! At
times you ask people, “Why are you speaking in tongues?” And someone says
“I’m sorting something.” What is he sorting? He has this dream car he wants to
buy, or this dream house he wants to build. That’s not the purpose of tongues.
God intended for us to win souls when we speak in tongues; this is what should
consume your mind as you pray.
Jesus said “…ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon
you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 KJV)
God didn’t give us the Holy Ghost just so we could move around feeling good
that He lives in us. He came to help us walk in the Word and fulfil the great
commission of taking the Gospel to ends of the earth; making disciples of all
nations. Hallelujah! The Holy Spirit gives us the ability to speak in tongues so
that we can win souls.

Get actively involved in the work of soul winning; this is God’s number one
assignment to every believer. Speak in tongues and preach the Gospel. Share the
Message of God’s saving power with your friends, relatives, workmates and the
various people you encounter; sometimes you’re in a taxi and your neighbour is
telling you about football; use that opportunity to tell him about Jesus. Praise
God!

CONFESSION

I bless the Lord for the Holy Spirit; who is my ever present help; He gives me
the ability to speak in tongues and He works together with me to take the
Gospel to the ends of the earth. As I speak in tongues, men are drawn to the
love of the Master Jesus; and they submit their lives to Him. Glory to God! I
receive boldness to share the Gospel of Christ with my workmates, friends,
family and everybody I interact with; for it is the power of God to save men.
Hallelujah!

SCATTERED ABROAD
Tuesday 14th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the
word.” (Acts 8:4 KJV)

Before Jesus ascended, He said to His disciples, “…ye shall receive power,
after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” for what purpose? “…and ye
shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 KJV) When they
were filled with the Holy Ghost, they spoke in tongues, preached the Gospel
and won many souls; but they remained in Jerusalem.

Great persecution rose up against them and they were scattered abroad
throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria (Acts 8:1); this is exactly where
Jesus had told them to go and be His witnesses. They hadn’t taken heed to the
words of Jesus but because they were speaking in tongues, the Holy Spirit
aligned them to divine purpose. When persecution came, He made it work to
their advantage.

Our theme verse tells us that those who were scattered abroad went everywhere
preaching the Word. The Message version says “Forced to leave home base,
the Christians all became missionaries. Wherever they were scattered, they
preached the Message about Jesus.” (Acts 8:4 MSG) Hallelujah!

The Greek word translated “scattered abroad” means “to sow throughout” just
like a farmer who plants millet through broadcasting; he scatters the seeds over
the land and they start to sprout and grow. Likewise when you are scattered
abroad; you are sown like a seed. So wherever you go, you are supposed to
grow and bring forth the precious fruit of souls. That’s what the Lord expects of
you child of God. Don’t wait for circumstances to force you to move; simply act
on the Word of God and go everywhere preaching the Gospel.

CONFESSION

God has anointed me with the Holy Ghost and power to be His witness on earth.
I go everywhere preaching the Gospel both in convenient and inconvenient
circumstances. The Holy Spirit works with me, convicting many to believe and
receive Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives. I am a committed labourer in the end
time harvest, therefore I bring forth the precious fruit of souls in abundance.
Glory to God!

POWER TO WITNESS
Wednesday 15th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and
ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 KJV)

When the Holy Spirit came to live in you, you received power to witness. A
witness is a proof producer; he produces proof of what he believes. 1 Peter 3:15
says “…be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a
reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” (KJV) The answer
is not only in words or speech; but also in the demonstration of what you
believe.

One day when Peter and John were heading to the temple to pray; they met a
man crippled from birth at the Temple gate called Beautiful. He was asking for
alms but they ministered healing to him. “And all the people saw him walking
and praising God… and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that
which had happened unto him.” (Acts 3:9-10 KJV)

The man clung on to Peter and John and people gathered around in awe of the
miracle that had happened. Then Peter began to preach to them and “…many of
those who had heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to
about five thousand.” (Acts 4:4 ESV) How wonderful!

When the rulers of the people questioned them, Peter told them that the man
was made whole by the name of Jesus Christ. “And since they saw the man
who had been cured standing there beside them, they could not contradict the
fact or say anything in opposition.” (Acts 4:14 AMP) They couldn’t deny the
miracle. Hallelujah!

God has made you His witness child of God. Stir up the miracle working ability
of the Spirit through heartfelt continued prayer and then go out and produce
proof of God’s Word. Start with your family members, friends, neighbours,
classmates and workmates, tell them about Jesus Christ. As you preach the
Gospel of Peace, the Holy Spirit will be working with you, confirming the
Word with miracles, signs and wonders. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I received the power to be God’s witness when the Holy Spirit came to live in
me. I stir up this power through effectual fervent prayer and I direct it to cause
tremendous changes all around me. Hallelujah! I produce proof of God’s Word
not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit
and of power. As I go about preaching the Gospel, the Lord works with me;
validating the Message with indisputable evidence to the praise and glory of
God. Hallelujah!

SALVATION IS FOUND IN JESUS

Thursday 16th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of
Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the
dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the
stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of
the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other
name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts
4:10-12 KJV)

There are certain convictions you must have in your heart child of God. One of
them is that Jesus Christ is the only assurance of salvation for men. Our theme
Scripture says “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other
name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Salvation is
received through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God who gave Himself for us
and God raised Him from the dead. There is no other way.

Someone without this conviction will not be bold enough to preach to

nonbelievers. He may presume that they will get saved “their own way” since
they subscribe to some religion. But it’s not so, Jesus Christ is the only way to
the Father. Some people say “Don’t preach tough things that will annoy other
people; be tolerant.” But the problem with that is that if we don’t tell people the
Truth right now, and they receive eternal salvation through the Lord Jesus
Christ; they will be annoyed in hell for a very long time. And then they will
come out for a short while and proceed to a much hotter place; that is the lake of
fire.

A person may do all kinds of good things, but until he believes on Jesus Christ,
he is not saved; that’s what the Bible shows us. Acts chapter 10 speaks of a
devout man called Cornelius who feared God, gave alms to people and prayed
continually but none of those things could save him. An angel of God appeared
to Cornelius and “…said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon,
whose surname is Peter; Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy
house shall be saved.” (Acts 11:13-14 KJV)

As ambassadors for Christ, God has committed to us the Gospel: we must

announce it everywhere, for it is the power of God to save everybody who
believes. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I am fully persuaded that the Name of Jesus Christ is the only authority given
under heaven, by which men must be saved. Therefore I am not ashamed of the
Gospel; I boldly announce this Message of Salvation through faith in Jesus
Christ everywhere I go. As I make men hear the Gospel, they believe on the
Lord Jesus, and call upon His Name and they are saved. Glory to God!

ENDURE PERSECUTION
Friday 17th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” (2
Timothy 3:12 KJV)

After Peter and John ministered to the lame man who used to beg at the Temple
Gate called Beautiful, many people gathered around in wonder and amazement
and the apostles preached to them (Acts 3:1-12). “And as they spake unto the
people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came
upon them, Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through
Jesus the resurrection from the dead.” (Acts 4:1-2 KJV) Peter and John were
arrested and questioned the next day.

Peter told the council of leaders that the man had been made whole through the
name of Jesus Christ. “Moreover, since they could see the man who had been
healed standing right there beside them, there was nothing they could say to
discredit the healing.” (Acts 4:14 CJB) The council couldn’t punish them
because all the people in Jerusalem had seen the miracle. So they warned them
not to teach in the name of Jesus and let them go.

Peter and John returned to their fellowship and told them what had transpired.
And they all lifted up their voice with one accord and prayed. They said “…of a
truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and
Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered
together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to
be done.” (Acts 4:27 KJV) Amazing!

They were being persecuted but they didn’t say “this is of the devil,” they said
“the people are gathered together to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel
determined before to be done.” They recognized that they were bound to suffer
persecution because they chose to manifest godliness. God determined it that
way; our theme verse says “all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer
persecution.” Glory to God!

The believers prayed that God would grant them boldness to speak His Word by
stretching forth His hand to heal “…and that signs and wonders may be done
by the name of …Jesus.” (Acts 4:30 KJV) Two of them had just been arrested
for healing a crippled man but they were asking God to do more. What an
attitude! They didn’t give up because of the persecution; they were determined
to continue living a godly life. Hallelujah!

Let nothing distract you from fulfilling the hope of God’s calling upon your life.
Run your race with endurance, “looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of
our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising
the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him
who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not
grow weary or fainthearted.” (Hebrews 12:2-3 ESV) Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

My life is set apart for the Glory of God. Hallelujah! With my eyes set on Jesus
Christ, the pioneer and perfector of my faith; I am ready to endure persecution
and hardships as a good soldier in the army of God. Nothing distracts me from
walking in the fullness of God’s purpose for my life. Hallelujah! The grace of
God works mightily in me, training me to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts,
and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. Praise God
forever more!

SOUL WINNERS PRAY

Saturday 18th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled
together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the
word of God with boldness.” (Acts 4:31 KJV)

There’s need for boldness in speaking the Word of God and this is why it’s
expedient for us to pray. When the brethren prayed, they were all filled with the
Holy Ghost, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness. Notice that the
verse doesn’t say they “received the Holy Ghost,” they had already received
Him in Acts 2, here they were filled with the Holy Ghost. Glory to God!

When you are filled with the Holy Ghost, He takes charge of your life, He
determines what you speak and what you do. Hallelujah! Every child of God
must continually stir up the working of the Holy Ghost in his life through
prayer. This is not something you can delegate to other people.

When Paul asked the brethren to pray for him, he said “…strive together with
me in your prayers to God for me;” (Romans 15:30 KJV) He asked them to
strive together with him in prayer; which means he was also praying. He said,
“That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that
my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;”
(Romans 15:31 KJV)

They prayed that he would be delivered from those who don’t believe and that
the service he had for Jerusalem would be accepted by the saints. Someone says
“Is it possible for a man that is born again to reject a service that is God sent?”
Oh yea, at times when the Word of God is being preached, you find that
believers are the first to fight what God is saying; they are not accepting the
service. But this too can be sorted through prayer. Praise the Lord!

Prayer is your number one responsibility as a soul winner. In order for you to
win souls massively; you must pray without ceasing. Stir up the boldness to
preach the Gospel by speaking in tongues and pray that the Word will have a
free course in the hearts of all those who hear you. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I take up the responsibility to pray that the Gospel of Christ may have a free
course in the hearts of men. I speak in tongues without ceasing, therefore I’m
continually filled with the Holy Spirit. He gives me the boldness to preach the
Good News to all men: and He works with me to open their eyes, and to turn
them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may
receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among those who are sanctified by
faith in Christ Jesus. Glory to God!

SOUL WINNERS ARE ALWAYS ON THE GO

Sunday 19th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to
every creature.” (Mark 16:15 KJV)

As a child of God, you’re supposed to be on the go, preaching the Gospel.

People travel all around the world for various reasons; for example business,
work, studies or luxury. But as soul winners, we are sent into the world to
preach the Gospel. Hallelujah!

Some people say “We also preach in our own way; we organize medical
missions and treat the sick.” Well and good; but after you have treated them,
you must tell them the Gospel. Do not assume that they will just look at your
good works and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. If you go to distribute things
to the poor, after you are done, preach to them. Praise the Lord! The instruction
is “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

The Lord has entrusted us with this great commission. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19
says “…God has given us the task of reconciling people to him. For God was
in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins
against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others.”
(NLT) Hallelujah!

As Christ’s ambassadors, we have a heavenly mandate to preach the Good

News of God’s saving power. The Father has given us manifold graces and
opportunities to reach out to men with the Gospel. He has positioned you at
your workplace so that you can reach out to your workmates, clients and
customers with the Gospel. He has positioned you in school to preach to your
classmates and friends. He has positioned you in that home to declare the Good
News to your family members and neighbours. Hallelujah!

Jesus said “…Look around you! Vast fields are ripening all around us and
are ready now for the harvest. The harvesters are paid good wages, and the
fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the
planter and the harvester alike!” (John 4:35-36 NLT) Always be on the go; use
every opportunity to preach the Gospel and win souls. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

God has committed to me the glorious Gospel of Christ. Therefore I am always

on the go, preaching the Good News of God’s saving power with a sense of
urgency. I take advantage of the manifold graces and opportunities the Lord has
given me to minister life to the people in my sphere of influence. Glory to God!
I walk in the wisdom of God and capture human lives. I usher many into eternal
salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

BAPTIZE THEM INTO THE NAME

Monday 20th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” (Matthew 28:19 KJV)

Jesus has committed to us the Gospel; He has sent us into the world to teach all
nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Ghost. Do you notice that He didn’t say “baptizing them in water”?
Baptism with water is a biblical revelation but it shouldn’t distract you from
what God is saying here.

Look at our theme verse in the Amplified, “Go then and make disciples of all
the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit,” (Matthew 28:19 AMP) Baptizing them “into” the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit; that means immersing them into
that name.

What name is he talking about? The name of Jesus! Philippians 2:9-10 says “…
God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every
name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth;” (KJV) Hallelujah! God the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit all respond to the name of Jesus “For in
him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” (Colossians 2:9 KJV)
Blessed be God!

Unlike baptism with water where you immerse someone in water and get them
out, here you are immersing them into the name of Jesus to stay. Hallelujah!
The word “name” is translated from the Greek “onoma” which means authority,
it also means character; so you are immersing them into the character of the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Glory to God!

In the next verse He shows us how to baptize people in that name, He says
“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…”
(Matthew 28:20 KJV) You immerse people into the name of Jesus by teaching
them the present truth of God’s Word. Hallelujah!

After someone has been reconciled to Christ, they need to be trained to a place
where they are fully persuaded of the Word and can put it to work in their lives;
and this training is best done in fellowship with other brethren. Praise God!

So as you go preaching the Word and winning souls, encourage them to come to
church. Church is the place that God designed for us to be discipled; to have our
minds transformed as we listen to His Word and watch how things are done in
the Body of Christ. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

As I go preaching the Gospel, I harvest souls and immerse them into the name
of Jesus Christ through proper teaching of God’s Word. I invite them to church
and introduce them into fellowship with other brethren. Hallelujah! Together we
are trained for the work of the ministry, for the edification of the Body of
Christ. Glory to God!

BEAR FRUIT THAT LASTS

Tuesday 21st September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“You did not choose me, I chose you; and I have commissioned you to go and
bear fruit, fruit that will last; so that whatever you ask from the Father in my
name he may give you.” (John 15:16 CJB)

The Lord has commissioned you to bring forth fruit, and the most important
fruit you can bear on earth is the precious fruit of souls. Jesus said “…Look
around you! Vast fields are ripening all around us and are ready now for the
harvest. The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is
people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the
harvester alike!” (John 4:35-36 NLT) Hallelujah!

You were ordained to “bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain…”
(John 15:16 KJV) Soul winning does not end at having some people converted
to the Kingdom of Light; they are supposed to remain, and be grounded in
Truth. Hallelujah!

Our theme verse says, “I have commissioned you to go and bear fruit, fruit that
will last; so that whatever you ask from the Father in my name he may give
you.” There is a peculiar blessing for a man that is bearing fruit that lasts;
whatever he asks of the Father in the name of Jesus, is given to him.

This is why an effective soul winner will seem to have more miracles happening
around him than someone who is not preaching the Word of God. The latter
could be praying for a job, or a promotion, and he’s not seeing the results; while
the one who is actively involved in soul winning is just moving from glory to
glory. There is special favour working for him. Anything that he needs, he will
have it, for the sake of the Gospel. Hallelujah!

Preach the Gospel of Christ and win souls to the Kingdom. Then follow them
up to see that they remain. Praise the Lord! Bring them to church and let them
be discipled in an environment of fellow believers who are walking in the Word
of God. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

God has ordained me to bear fruit that remains. Hallelujah! Above everything
else, I’m concerned with soul winning because it’s valuable to God and
pertinent to His glorious Kingdom. As I turn many to Christ, I follow them up
to ensure that they are established in the house of God. Hallelujah! I am never
anxious about tomorrow, because the Lord is my source. He grants me
everything I ask for in the name of Jesus; therefore my joy is ever full. Blessed
be God!

EXCEL IN THE GRACE OF GIVING

Wednesday 22nd September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“But just as you excel in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in

complete earnestness and in your love for us--see that you also excel in this
grace of giving.” (2 Corinthians 8:7 NIV)

As a soul winner, it’s important for you to understand the role of finances in the
preaching of the Gospel. The Message we have is free, but to take it to the
whole world, we need finances. Praise the Lord! This is the reason we give in
church; to propagate the Gospel.

Every believer should be willing to give his treasure for the Gospel. One person
may not have money to give, but there’s something else that he can give. Maybe
he has a huge piece of land and he can give part of it for the preaching of the
Gospel. Another person could say, “I’m giving you this land to use for church
meetings until the church buys land.” Hallelujah!

Each one of us has a part to play in the advancement of the Gospel. If the
church doesn’t understand this, there will be a few people pushing themselves
to get the Gospel out. They will be doing all the preaching and working day and
night to get all the finances required. But if every believer excels in the grace of
giving, nobody will strained superfluously. Praise the Lord!

Every time you do a personal evaluation of your life, ask yourself: “How have
my finances been utilized in the preaching of the Gospel?” When you use your
finances to further the Gospel, you’re making an eternal investment. Jesus said
“…use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. In this
way, your generosity stores up a reward for you in heaven.” (Luke 16:9 NLT)
Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I recognize that it is God who gives me the power to make wealth. As He

increases me financially, I acknowledge Him as my Source by giving
bountifully towards the preaching of the Gospel. I am ever ready to support the
work of ministry with my earthly treasure. God receives my giving as a fragrant
offering; a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to Him. Hallelujah!

GIVING IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

Thursday 23rd September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“But just as you excel in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in

complete earnestness and in your love for us--see that you also excel in this
grace of giving.” (2 Corinthians 8:7 NIV)

When you talk about any kind of giving; whether it is tithe, first fruit, sowing,
people often ask: “Are these things applicable in the New Testament?” and
that’s a good question. While studying my Bible, I found out something
interesting; all Apostle Paul’s teachings on giving and finances are based on Old
Testament Scriptures.

For example, 1 Corinthians 9:9-10 says “…it is written in the Law of Moses,
"You shall not muzzle an ox threshing grain." Does God take care for oxen?
Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? It was written for us, so that he
who plows should plow in hope, and so that he who threshes in hope should
be partaker of his hope.” (MKJV) Paul was teaching this from Deuteronomy
25:4.

Then he said “Do you not know that those who perform sacred services eat the
food of the temple, and those who attend regularly to the altar have their
share from the altar? So also the Lord directed those who proclaim the gospel
to get their living from the gospel.” (1 Corinthians 9:13-14 NASB) He picked
this from Deuteronomy 18:1 which says, “The priests the Levites, and all the
tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the
offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.” (KJV) Glory to
God!
In 2 Corinthians 9:6, Paul said “…He which soweth sparingly shall reap also
sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”
(KJV) Here he was teaching from Proverbs 11:24-25 which says, “Some give
freely and still get richer, while others are stingy but grow still poorer. The
person who blesses others will prosper; he who satisfies others will be
satisfied himself.” (CJB) Amazing!

Let’s look at one more, 2 Corinthians 9:9 says “(As it is written, He hath
dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for
ever.” (KJV) That’s a quotation from Psalms 112:9. Praise the Lord!

Apostle Paul is the same person who emphasized to us that the law had been
abolished (Ephesians 2:14-16), so why was he teaching finances from the Old
Testament Scriptures? Hebrews 10:5-6 says “…Sacrifice and offering thou
wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and
sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.” (KJV) God was specific on what
He didn’t want; He had no pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices “for sin”.

So someone cannot say that he is going to give a huge offering in hope that God
will forgive him for what he did wrong. As far as sin is concerned, the law
became obsolete, because Jesus gave Himself as the sacrifice for sin. But the
other principles concerning giving and finances still stand. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

The Spirit of God empowers me to excel in the grace of giving. Hallelujah! My

tithe, first fruit, seed and offering are acceptable sacrifices to God; therefore I
give them promptly, consistently and cheerfully. Glory to God! Through my
bounteous giving, the Gospel is spreading to the whole world and the ministers
of God are amply supplied. Blessed be God!

SOW TO THE SPIRIT

Friday 24th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall
he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life
everlasting.” (Galatians 6:7-8 KJV)

Sowing to one’s flesh means sowing into earthly things. You find somebody
who gives for everything else except the Kingdom of God. He gives bountifully
for community service projects and cancer runs but he doesn’t give in church.
Even his tithe, he gives it to the poor; he’s sowing to the flesh.

Someone says “Is it bad to give to the poor?” Not at all! The Bible says
“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him
for his deed.” (Proverbs 19:17 ESV) When you lend to the Lord, He will pay
you back; that’s different from sowing. Praise the Lord!

“He that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth
to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” You sow to the Spirit
through financing the Gospel. Giving towards the Word of God is the only kind
of giving that is beneficial to the Kingdom of God.

That’s what Jesus taught; He said “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon
earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through
and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth
nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:”
(Matthew 6:19-20 KJV)
If a man puts his treasure into earthly things; they can be destroyed by moths
and rust, and thieves can break in and steal them. But one who gives towards
soul winning has an incorruptible treasure reserved in heaven. Reason being that
souls won to the Kingdom of Light abide into eternity. Hallelujah!

Be a generous giver in the house of God. When you sow to the Spirit, you shall
of the Spirit reap life everlasting; you shall enjoy the benefits of salvation; the
things which accompany salvation. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I sow to the Spirit by investing in winning souls. Hallelujah! I give cheerfully

towards the Word of God for I am persuaded that the God who provides for me
both seed for sowing and bread for eating will multiply my seed sown in the
Gospel and increase the fruits of my righteousness. Praise the Lord! I am
enriched in all things and in every way, therefore I give generously in the house
of God. Hallelujah!

KEEP SOWING
Saturday 25th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“And don’t allow yourselves to be weary or disheartened in planting good

seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is
coming!” (Galatians 6:9 TPT)

Maybe you have been sowing for a while now and you’re wondering when you
will reap, don’t be weary in well doing. The Bible says “There is a time for
everything, a season for every activity under heaven…. A time to plant and a
time to harvest.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 NLT) Glory to God!

Make it a practice to sow to the Spirit consistently. There are people who are
not consistent givers in the house of God; today they give, tomorrow they don’t.
When they are preparing for their wedding or working on a project, “they don’t
have the finances to give for the Gospel.” God can’t depend on their giving
because it’s always fluctuating. It shouldn’t be so.

God provides seed to the sower and bread to the eater (2 Corinthians 9:10). The
seed is for sowing and the bread is for eating; that’s how it’s meant to be. When
someone doesn’t understand this, he will eat his seed, and when everybody else
is harvesting, he will be looking on while saying: “Wow! I like what God is
doing in your life.” Sow your seed and in due time, you shall harvest.
Hallelujah!

Paul taught something peculiar, he said “when you put seed in the earth, ‘…you
do not put in the body which it will be, but only the seed, …But God gives it a
body, as it is pleasing to him, and to every seed its special body.’” (1
Corinthians 15:37-38 BBE) In other words; the blessings you reap do not
necessarily come in the form you sowed. God gives every seed its special body;
that shows you that you’re not in competition with anyone.

Just because your colleagues are driving cars/ buying lands or getting married
before you doesn’t mean you’re not blessed. That’s the body of their fruit; your
seed will sprout with its special body. It could even be a divine idea; for
example a business or a witty invention. Hallelujah! Continue planting good
seeds, the season of reaping a wonderful harvest is sure to come. Blessed be
God!

CONFESSION

I am a big time giver in the house of God. Hallelujah! The Lord can count on
my giving because I sow to the Spirit consistently. I enjoy the fruit of my seed
sown without comparing myself to other people. The Lord gives me
supernatural ideas to bless my nation and the world beyond with solutions from
the throne of God. Hallelujah! As I take heed to the instructions that God gives
me, I’m rightly positioned to reap a wonderful harvest in due time. Blessed be
God forever more.

CHEERFUL GIVERS
Sunday 26th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his
heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He
takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to
do without) a cheerful (joyous, ``prompt to do it") giver [whose heart is in his
giving].” (2 Corinthians 9:7 AMP)

God loves cheerful givers. Hallelujah! Our theme verse shows us some peculiar
attributes of cheerful givers. They don’t give reluctantly or sorrowfully; like
someone who gives tithe because he fears that “if he doesn’t give it, the enemy
will attack his finances.” He is giving it out of a sense of duty and God doesn’t
take pleasure in that; He wants us to give willingly. Hallelujah!

God prizes a cheerful (joyous, prompt to do it) giver above all things. Praise
God! A cheerful giver is joyous and prompt to give; whenever there’s a need, he
is quick to give for it. He is always glad to participate in every good work.
Praise the Lord!

God is unwilling to abandon or to do without a cheerful giver whose heart is in

his giving; that means whatever he is giving makes sense to his heart; it is
valuable to him. At times people don’t think about what they give; when it’s
time for giving offerings, they pull out some pocket change and give it. A few
days later someone cannot remember what he gave because his heart was not in
it. It shouldn’t be so. God delights in a cheerful giver whose heart is in his
giving. Glory to God!
The next verse says “…God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly
blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all
circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to
require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work
and charitable donation].” (2 Corinthians 9:8 AMP) Hallelujah!

Now this can work for you as an individual, but if you look at the context,
Apostle Paul was addressing a whole church; they were preparing a gift for the
saints at Jerusalem (2 Corinthians 9:1-5). That means if a church understands
God’s idea of giving, God is able to make all grace (every favour and earthly
blessing) come to that church in abundance, so that the church may always and
under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing
enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good
work and charitable donation]. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I’m supernaturally supplied to accomplish all that God has set out for me.
Hallelujah! The Lord takes great pleasure in me, He prizes me above other
things because I am a cheerful giver. I give joyfully, promptly and
wholeheartedly in the house of God. I’m always ready to participate in every
good work to the glory of God.

But just as you excel in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in

2 Corinthians 9:1-5 CJB

There is really no need for me to write you about this offering for God's people -
(2) I know how eager you are, and I boast about you to the Macedonians. I tell
them, "Achaia has been ready since last year," and it was your zeal that stirred
up most of them. (3) But now I am sending the brothers so that our boast about
you in this regard will not prove hollow, so that you will be ready, as I said you
would be. (4) For if some Macedonians were to come with me and find you
unprepared, we would be humiliated at having been so confident - to say
nothing of how you would feel. (5) So I thought it necessary to urge these
brothers to go on to you ahead of me and prepare your promised gift in plenty of
time; this way it will be ready when I come and will be a genuine gift, not
something extracted by pressure.

DOUBLE HONOUR
Monday 27th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially
they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt
not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of
his reward.” (1 Timothy 5:17-18 KJV)

When he says “double honour”, he is dealing with salary scales; he’s not talking
about greeting the Pastor while saying, “I honour you man of God.” Look at
verse 17 in the Amplified, “Let the elders who perform the duties of their
office well be considered doubly worthy of honor [and of adequate financial
support], especially those who labor faithfully in preaching and teaching.” (1
Timothy 5:17 AMP) Praise the Lord!

When Jesus was sending out His disciples to go and preach ahead of Him, He
told them “Don't take along any money, or a traveler's bag, or even an extra
pair of sandals….” (Luke 10:4 NLT) Concerning where they would be
received, He said “…in the same house remain, eating and drinking such
things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house
to house.” (Luke 10:7 KJV)

Jesus wasn’t confining the preachers to stay in one house; He had sent them to
preach to the whole city. So when He said “go not from house to house,” he was
referring to the eating and drinking not the preaching. He was telling them to
continue taking their meals at the same place “for the laborer is worthy of his
hire.” Apostle Paul quoted this in our theme Scripture.
In 1 Corinthians 9:11 he said, “If we have sown to you spiritual things, is it a
great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?” (MKJV) In other words, “The
Word we preached to you was spiritual; and it caused you to abound in material
things.” So he posed a question, “What is greater; the Word we brought to you
or what you got from your workplace?”

Then he said “If others are sharing in this right to be supported by you, don't
we have a greater claim to it? But we don't make use of this right. Rather, we
put up with all kinds of things so as not to impede in any way the Good News
about the Messiah.” (1 Corinthians 9:12 CJB) The only reason they weren’t
exercising that right was so that they wouldn’t hinder the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. Hallelujah!

Make it a practice to honour those who labour faithfully in preaching and

teaching through your giving. They are worthy of double honour. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

God supplies all my need according to His riches in glory, therefore I am self-
sufficient and furnished in abundance to give for the work of ministry. I accord
double honour to those who labour in preaching and teaching the Word of God.
Hallelujah! I gladly contribute to their welfare and support because the labourer
is worthy of his hire. Blessed be God!

Philippians 4:15-19 ESV

And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when
I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and
receiving, except you only. (16) Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my
needs once and again. (17) Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that
increases to your credit. (18) I have received full payment, and more. I am well
supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant
offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. (19) And my God will
supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

COMMUNICATE
Tuesday 28th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all
good things.” (Galatians 6:6-7 KJV)

The word “communicate” here means to share. The Amplified says “Let him
who receives instruction in the Word [of God] share all good things with his
teacher [contributing to his support].” (Galatians 6:6 AMP) Hallelujah! He’s
not talking about calling the Pastor to give him an update of the good things
happening in your life; you’re sharing the good things with him. Glory to God!

Now it’s important for you to note that when the Word says “communicate unto
him that teacheth in all good things,” He doesn’t mean that the person
instructing you depends on your giving for survival. Not in the least! God can
use anybody and anything to sustain His ministers.

When there was a famine in Israel, God told Elijah to go to the brook Cherith
and said to him: “The brook will supply you with water to drink, and I have
commanded ravens to bring you food there.” (1 Kings 17:4 GNB) When the
brook dried up, God directed him to Zarephath, where He had commanded a
widow to sustain him (1 Kings 17:9-16). Hallelujah!

So the minister of God is sustained by God and not your giving. When you
contribute to his support, it is to your advantage. Paul told the Philippians that
“…you …yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left
Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and
receiving, except you only. Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my
needs once and again. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that
increases to your credit.” (Philippians 4:15-17 ESV) Fruit abounds to your
account when you give, hallelujah! Practise sharing all good things with your
teacher. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I am blessed to receive instruction in the Word of God. Hallelujah! I recognize

that the ministers who labour faithfully in preaching and teaching are worthy of
double honour. I generously share with them all good things even as God
supplies to me according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Glory to God!

DO YOUR PART
Wednesday 29th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou
the chastening of the Almighty: …He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in
seven there shall no evil touch thee. In famine he shall redeem thee from
death: and in war from the power of the sword. Thou shalt be hid from the
scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it
cometh. At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh…” (Job 5:17-22 KJV)

Whenever you are working with God, there is what God is doing and there is
what He expects you to do. So as you study the Scriptures, you need to look out
for your part to play. In our theme Scripture, the Bible says “happy is the man
whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the
Almighty:” the correction is God’s responsibility and your part is not to despise
His chastening. Hallelujah!

Then He says “He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no
evil touch thee.” Who does the delivering? God. “In famine he shall redeem
thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.” Who does the
redeeming? God. He redeems you from death and from the power of the sword.
Hallelujah!

Verse 21 says “Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt
thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.” Who is hiding you from the
scourge of the tongue? God. And what are you supposed to do? Refuse to be
afraid of destruction when it comes. Hallelujah! When you see some trouble
coming, refuse to be afraid.
If there are people fighting you because of what God is doing in your life, refuse
to be afraid. If everybody at your workplace is doing all they can to pull you
down, refuse to be afraid. If people are saying negative things about you, refuse
to be afraid. Why? God has said, “…neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction
when it cometh.” Hallelujah!

Verse 22 says “At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh…” When destruction
and famine come, you laugh! It’s called acting on God’s Word. Hallelujah! This
is how you should study your Bible; find out what God says He has done, what
He says He is doing, what He says He will do and what He has assigned for you
to do. Then take bold steps of faith and do your part. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

The Lord protects me from harm and delivers me from troublesome situations.
He redeems me from the power of the sword and rescues me from slander.
Hallelujah! I refuse to be afraid of destruction because God is my safe refuge.
He is my source and my provision, therefore I laugh in the midst of famine.
Hallelujah! As I study the Scriptures, the Lord corrects and disciplines me. He
instructs me and guides me in paths of righteousness. Glory to God! I take heed
to the training of the Lord and act on His Word; therefore I am complete and
proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

James 1:22-25 KJV

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
(23)  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man
beholding his natural face in a glass:  (24)  For he beholdeth himself, and goeth
his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.  (25)  But
whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being
not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his
deed.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  (17)  That the man of
God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

LAUGH
Thursday 30th September, 2021
Pastor David Omongole

“At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh…” (Job 5:22 KJV)

Wonderful! Notice that the Scripture doesn’t say “at destruction and famine,
you shall fast; no, you shall laugh.” You don’t fast in a famine; because fasting
means to abstain from something; if it’s not there, you can’t abstain from it; so
what do you do? You laugh, praise God!

You went to the ATM hoping to get some money, and you found that there were
“insufficient funds,” don’t bang the machine, laugh. Glory to God! When you
are walking out, the other people will be wondering what’s going on, just keep
laughing. They may even think you are mad; but you’re doing the Word.

When you are walking by faith, often times you will have to make decisions or
take actions that seem foolish to the human mind. For example, according to
man’s intelligence, laughing at destruction and famine doesn’t make any sense;
but it’s the wisdom of God.

Sometimes there seems to be bad news coming from every direction. One
person just called you saying, “Your uncle has passed away,” then shortly after
you hear that the people who were travelling for the burial got an accident. Your
employer also calls you saying, “We have terminated your contract.” Then your
son calls from school to remind you about school fees. You have all these things
running through your mind; don’t get anxious, laugh!

They say “you are finished,” “you’ll never make it in life,” “you will never get a
job,” “you will never get married,” “you will not conceive,” “you will not carry
the child to full term,” who are they? Who are those people who are always
talking about you? Listen, they can say all they want about your life, it means
nothing.

The Scripture assures us that “There is nothing from without a man, that
entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those
are they that defile the man.” (Mark 7:15 KJV) Hallelujah! What matters is
what you are saying. Glory to God! Keep talking the Word and laughing.
Before long, you will be testifying. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

My heart is flooded with the joy and laughter of the Spirit. I laugh my way
through tough circumstances with the consciousness that all things function
together for my good. I have no anxiety about anything in life. Instead I make
my requests known to God through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.
Therefore the peace of God guards my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Hallelujah! I condemn every tongue that rises against me in judgment because
my righteousness is of God. I believe the Word, talk the Word, do the Word and
produce the fruit of the Word to the glory of God. Hallelujah!
