16-20. Essay Type: What is the importance of Electrical Installation? minimum 50 words.
(5 pts.)

Answer:
Electricity has made our lives fast, easy and comfortable. Almost everything around us
needs some or the other type of electrical installation. According to researchers, electrical
fires are accountable for almost 300 deaths every year. Most of these fatal accidents are the
result of defective electrical fittings. Improper wiring set up, circuit beakers and abnormal use
of extension wires are the largest contributors to these deadly events. So, it's very important
to hire the right professional who has experience in electrical jobs. Proper installation and
maintenance is very important in both commercial and residential facilities. Listed below are the
importance of proper installation and maintenance for your home or business edifice.

 Good installation and maintenance is equivalent to safety

A rule of thumb says that the worse it looks, the less likely the installation has been
completed by a professional. When wirings are properly installed, wires are basically well
tightened up and aligned in proper places. Some high voltage wirings are sealed in
insulators to avoid accidents and unexpected electrocution. Professional electricians also
follow a certain pattern or design in wiring to reflect good installations. For instance,
high-voltage wires are usually hidden behind walls, which serve as their insulators. This
keeps the place's surroundings clean and arranged while people that are passing by are
safe from potential injuries caused by faulty wiring.
 Proper labeling saves money and time
Proper installations require clear labeling on wiring with tags, connection jacks, and other
fixtures. Some wires also have different colors to determine their functions. When wires
are in proper places, it would be easy for the electrician to determine which wire needs
fixtures using color coding. The lesser time the electrician would spend for fixture, the
lesser cost you would pay especially if the electrician charges per hour.
 Proper maintenance paves the way for efficiency
Proper maintenance can be achieved by doing a regular system audit to check for the
simplest fix faults, which may arise into bigger problems. This is very essential especially
for quality control whether or not your business edifice is big. For further stage of
quality control, proper maintenance can also be used for future installation needs.

An electrical code is a set of regulations for the design and installation of

electrical wiring in a building. The intention of a code is to provide standards to ensure
electrical wiring systems that are safe for people and property.

Article 1.0 Introduction has a purpose which let us understand the cause for
something that is done or formed, a scope which let us learn the extent of the area or
subject matter dealt with by something, an authority which gives us privilege to issue
orders, make choices and impose compliance, an enforcement which let us remember
the act of requiring observance of a law, rule, or obligation, an interpretation which let us
do the activity of describing something’s significance, an examination of equipment for
safety which let us to inspect whether work equipment can be properly handled,
configured and maintained, a wiring planning that simplifies the pictorial image of an
electric circuit, and metric units of measurement that are in line with the new modern
metric system recognized as the International Unit System.

Article1.1 Definitions, this article only contains certain definitions which are
necessary for the proper implementation of this Code. The aim is not to use widely
defined general terms or commonly defined technical terms from linked codes and
standards. It is also in alphabetical order so that it’s easy to find the word.
Article 1.2 Permits and Inspection Certificates, the importance, significance,
value, purpose, power, and worth of Permits and Inspection Certificates are included in
this article section.

Article 1.3.1 General. On the drawing papers, electrical plans and sketches shall
be drawn. Sufficient sizes with metric sketches shall be used. When the size of the
drawing sheet might well be changed pictorially, the graphic scale of every drawing
sheet shall be seen. Article 1.3.2 Plans and Specifications, It also points out the steps
to be taken to reach the goals. Article1.3.3 Substation Plans and Specifications,
substations convert voltage from highest to the lowest, or reverse, or execute other
critical functions that’s why it needs specific plans to avoid disaster and tragedy.

Article 1.10 Requirements for Electrical Installations, addresses general

specifications for the inspection and acceptance, installation and usage, access to and
spaces around electrical conductors and equipment; enclosures designed for staff entry;
and tunnel installations.
