problems that you and/or your

classmates encounter when
writing academic papers?

I think the problems that me and my

classmates encounter when writing
academic papers are our limited
vocabulary. Vocabulary plays a
huge role in making an academic
paper because it requires
complexity. Most of us are not
proficient in English thus it's one of
the problems that me and my
classmates encounter when making
an academic paper.
 What language do they use at
home? Is it English or Filipino or
any other language?

Most of my classmates use Tagalog

and English as their language in
their homes because they grew up
here in the city.
 Do you think they find it
difficult to express their ideas
in English if they don’t speak
the English language at home?
How does this affect their
language and style?

Some may find it difficult, some may

not because English is being taught
at school since grade school. And
we are exposed in English language
because of movies and video
games. Those who find it difficult are
also the ones who find it difficult to
write in English. It may affect their
grammar in their writings.
