 Sujeto + could + verbo.


We could visit New York while we are there.
Es con el verbo modal “could”. La traducción sería podría/podríamos.

 Let’s + verbo.
Let’s go to the travel agent’s this afternoon to book our ticket. 

 What about / How about+ ing.


What about asking your brother for help?
How about going to Hawaii for you vacation?
Estas dos fórmulas similares en las que solo cambiaría “What” o “How” son algo más
sutiles. Se traduciría por “¿Qué tal si…?”.

Present Simple - Present Continuous


The Smiths are going on holiday. They usually go on holiday by
train. They take a taxi to the station, check the timetable and get
on the train.

At the moment, they are standing in front of the timetable. The


train departs at 15:12 and arrives in Brighton at 16:45.

At 6 pm the Smiths are meeting Ben’s aunt in Brighton.


She studies law in a London, but she is working as a waitress in
Brighton during the summer holiday.

 verbos que expresan posesión o pertenencia;

feel*, hear, see*, smell*, taste*, touch

 verbos que expresan emociones;


hate, hope, like, love, prefer, regret, want, wish

 verbos de pensamiento y reconocimiento.
