4. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

 Flammable

 Use cold water spray to cool fire exposed containers to


minimize the risk of rupture.
 Causes skin irritation and allergic skin reaction.
 Causes eye irritation.

 Harmful is inhaled.
 May cause allergic respiratory reaction.
 May cause lung damage.

5. FIRST AID MEASURES

General Information :
In all cases of doubt or when symptoms persist, seek medical advice. In case of unconsciousness
give nothing by mouth, place in unconscious position and seek medical advice.

Following Inhalation :
Move victim to fresh air. Put victim at rest and keep warm. In case of irregular breathing or
respiratory arrest provide artificial respiration.

After Skin Contact :


After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. Take off immediately all
contaminated clothing. Do not use solvents or thinners.

Following Eye Contact :


IF IN EYES : Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and
easy to do. Continue rinsing. Seek medical advice.

After Ingestion :
If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only the person is conscious). Consult physician immediately.
Keep victim calm. Do not induce vomiting.

6. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Suitable Extinguishing Media :


Foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder extinguishers.

Special Protective Equipment For Fire-Fighters :


Provide a conveniently located respiratory protective device.

Additional Information :
Cool closed containers that are near the source of the fire. Do not allow water used to extinguish
fire to enter drains, ground or waterways. Treat run off as hazardous.

7. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Spills and Disposal :


Wear full protective equipment. Absorb to diatomaceous earth or other inert absorbent substances.
Sweep up and dispose of according to local regulations. Do not allow to enter sewers or water
courses.

8. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling :
Only use in a well exhausted spray booth and avoid inhalation of vapour by maintaining adequate
ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and eye.

Storage and Transport :


Keep containers closed when not in use. Do not store near heat, naked flame or sparks. Store at
temperatures less than 35⁰C and store in well ventilated dry area.

Special Hazards :
Avoid heat, flame, sparks and contact with oxidizing agent. Equipment should be earthed. Spray
booths should be kept clean. Used rags mag spontaneously combust if not stored in water.

9. EXPOSURE CONTROLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT

Provide good ventilation. This can be achieved with local or room suction. If this should not be
sufficient to keep aerosol and solvent vapour concentration below the exposure limit values, a
suitable respiratory protection must be used.

Personal Protection Equipment


Respiratory protection :
If concentration of solvents is beyond the occupational exposure limit values, approved and suitable
respiratory protection must be used.

Eye Protection :
Wear closely fitting protective glasses in case of splashes.

Skin Protection :
Wear antistatic clothing of natural fibers (.le. cotton) or heat resistant synthetic fibers.

Preventive Measures :
After contact clean skin thoroughly with water and soap oder use appropriate cleanser.
