Topic: A comparative look at the relationship between ethnicity and resource conflicts
Main RQ (+ 2-3 sub-RQs): To what degree does ethnicity play a role in the resource conflict in
Eastern DRC (in Democratic Republic of Congo) and Nigeria (Niger Delta)
- What is the ethnic composition of the Eastern DRC versus the Niger Delta?
- How do the ethnic groups within those regions view one another? (sociohistorical
context)
- What is the composition of the resource wealth in the those regions?
Hypotheses (optional): It plays a significant role in resource conflict
