A Report On The Traffic Congestion Outside SMJK Katholik

This report aims to determine the causes of traffic congestion outside the
school especially after school hours. This report also provides the solutions to
overcome the situation. As such, a special committee has been set up to
monitor the situation for one school week from 14 June 2021 until 18 June
2021 at the entrance of the school from 12.30 noon till 1.30p.m.
The following are findings of our observation. Firstly, the road leading to
the school entrance is congested daily after school hours. The main reason is
because the parents parked their vehicles haphazardly while they waited for
their children. This reduced the traffic to a crawl because most of the parents
just ignored requests to more their cars. They only think of their own
convenience.
Secondly, the walkway shelter outside the gate is inadequate for
students to use when it rained. The shelter is very small and narrow so the
students are soaked while waiting to be packed up. Thus, some parents tried to
park their cars as close as possible around the entrance area.
