Writing Part 1

Dear Ahmad,
Thank you for your message which I have just received. I am glad that
I have a brother who appreciates our mum by organising a party for her to
celebrate Mother’s Day. So, let me give you some suggestions for the party
theme.
We both know that mum loves flowers very much. She is always
talking about her plants and flowers. Therefore, why not we choose a floral
theme for the party? I suggest that we decorate the party area with lots of
flowers. I also suggest we make request for everyone who is coming to the
party to wear clothes in floral print. In fact, you should order a Mother’s Day
cake in the shape of a flower. Most importantly, you must not forget to buy
her a bouquet of flowers.
I am absolutely sure that our mum will be delighted with the party
arrangement. Let’s make it a memorable Mother’s Day for her. Do write to me
and tell me what you think about my suggestion.
Your brother,
Aileen
Writing Part 3
School was over for a day. There was heavy rain and traffic
congestion outside the school gate so the traffic was slow. Many students were
huddled under the covered walkway and some of them were at the bus stop
waiting for their transport to get home. I was about to board the bus when I
heard a horrendous loud screech which was followed by a crash. A helmet
rolled by my feet and the screaming began. I looked up and saw a gruesome
sight.
A helmetless motorcyclist was laying on the road. His blood was
streaming all around and his eyes were wide open. I could sense that he was
lifeless. His vehicle was a wreck and smashed up about fifty metres away. I saw
not far away a student was laying on the roadside and screaming in agony. His
head was bleeding profusely. I recognised him as a boy who took over my
place at the bus stop after I moved the bus board. Apparently, the motorcyclist
had lost control of his bike on the slippery road because he was speeding. He
could not avoid going straight toward the bus stop. His bike hit the pavement
very hard and knocked down the boy who was screaming in pain. The impact
was great that caused the motorcyclist to lose his life. Suddenly, realisation hit
me and I was so shaken. In fact, if I have not moved, I would be the victim
instead of having a narrow escape. Thank god my bus has arrived at the time.
The horrific scene is imprinted in the mind forever. Although I was not
the victim, I will still be overwhelmed and quite traumatised. I still suffered
from panic attacks and insomnia even two years after the incident. My family
especially my parents supported me all the way. They took me for treatment
and lent me a helping hand whenever they could. Slowly, I took charge of my
life again.
