respondents, 56.0% stated they perform high intensity exercise while the remaining 44.0%

answered that they engaged in low intensity exercise.

the survey respondents, 40.0% stated that they typically exercise once a week while the lowest

percentage which is 2.0% , the respondents answered that they exercise often, If they want, and It

As shown in Table 9, the students’ mean factor determines the category of exercise (a.

high intensity exercise b. low intensity exercise) does the students perform. Among ten (10)

statements, nine (9) statements were rated Agree and one (1) statement were rated strongly agree.

The response of the students results a mean of 3.03 with the descriptive rating of Agree.

Specifically, item number four (7) “I chose an exercise that I like because I am more likely to

keep up something I enjoy rather than seeing exercise as another chore” gained the highest rating

which is 3.50 (s=.614) mean score with the descriptive study of Strongly Agree, while item

number five (5) “I do low intensity aerobic exercise because it is more effective than high-

intensity” gained the lowest rating of 2.74 (s= .853) mean score with the descriptive rating of

Agree.

As reflected in Table 10, the students’ mean factor determines the effect (positive and

negative) of exercising on the productivity of the students in doing class works. Among six (10)

statements, five (5) statements were rated Agree and five (5) statements were rated Disagree. The

respondents’ responses gained a weighted mean of 2.63 which presented the descriptive rating of

Agree. Particularly, the item number twelve (12) “I feel more active in doing school works after I

exercise” gained the highest rating of 3.26 (s=.777) mean score with the descriptive rating of

Agree, while the item number fourteen (14) “I feel sleepy after exercising that is why I missed

deadline for an activity” gained the lowest of 1.90 (s=.789) mean score with the descriptive
score of Disagree

Lastly, the reason why students exercise is presented in Table 11. Among ten (10)

statements, all of the ten (10) statements were rated Agree. The responses of the respondents

gained a weighted mean 3.01 which revealed the descriptive rating of Agree. Specifically, the

item number twenty three (23) “I exercise because it improves my mood” gained the highest

rating of 3.18 (s= .619). On the other hand, item number twenty nine (29) “My family and

friends inspire me to exercise.” gained the lowest rating of 2.76 (s=.678) mean score which
revealed the descriptive rating of Agree.

As shown in table 12, exercising and students’ classwork productivity suggests moderate

positive relationship (r= .646). Moreover, the p value is lower than the set alpha level (α= 0.05)

which is p=0.000 which reflects a significant relationship between the two variables. Therefore,

null hypothesis (H0) must be rejected and accept the alternative hypothesis (H1)

H1. There is a significant relationship between exercising and the classwork productivity of

the grade 12 students in St. Rose Catholic School, Inc.

H0. There is no significant relationship between exercising and the classwork productivity of
