Objective

The objective of this assignment is:

o To understand the basic concepts of Information System (IS).

o To understand the concepts and application of organizational file structures, and types of sources of
information.

Question No.1
Hierarchical and Flat organizational structures are used around the globe by many organizations. There are
different reasons on the basis of which organization decides which organizational structure they should adopt.
Now, keeping these organizational structures in mind, you are required to provide two examples of hierarchical
structure and two examples of flat structure based organizations. You are also required to analyze and mention
reason of choosing that particular structure in the organization.
