Everybody knows that criminals must be kept in captivity.

However, recently many specialists think that

it is no longer the best method of dealing with them; instead, they should be educated and trained for
job to be better. In my opinion, I don’t agree with this idea for many reasons below that.

One of the most important reason why it is true that putting criminals to prison is guaranteeing safety
for the society. Because those people would not be able to commit more crimes if they were liberal.
Those criminals are not only extremely dangerous to our life but also are bad examples for copycat
crimes. At this time, the society would be always unstable and hardly controlled by the government.
Furthermore, it is unfair in community unless offenders are forced to go to jail because they must be
incurred a punishment suitable to the offence.

Some suggested that when criminals have to lose freedom and spend years of their lives in prison, they
could become resentful. However, I believe it is the best time for them to think about the crimes which
they made and improve their sense of morality. If they were free to do anything they want, there would
not be any punishments to remind them about the mistakes he made and help them be better.

Finally, although criminals are put into prison, nowadays all prisons have programs about education and
job training for them. No one can deny that education and job training can be used to help criminals
become better citizens education could change offenders’ attitude in a positive way. Being educated,
criminals would be able to distinguish between right and wrong, and they would realize that it is
unacceptable to break the law. Secondly, job training is extremely important for criminals as it helps
them to achieve a normal career after completing their sentence. Many people commit crimes due to
their lack of money and become criminals such as burglars or robbers. Providing job training would help
them earn a living when coming back to the society, and they would no longer have motivation to
reoffend.

In short, I think sending criminals to prison is always the best method of dealing with them and keeping
the society safe.
