Halal tourism can be summarised as any object or action which is permissible to use or engage in the

tourism industry, according to Islamic teachings (M. Battour and Ismail, 2016). Halal tourism is also
defined as a type of religious tourism that represents allowable activities under the Islamic teachings
in terms of behaviour, dress, conduct and diet (Javed, 2007; WTM, 2007)
