The present simple is used to talk about habitual events, to conjugate the present

simple

We use the infinitive for the subjects "I", "you", "we" and "they" and for the third

persons "he", "she" and "it", we add an "s" or "is" at the end of the verb and

depending on what ends this

. For verbs that end in -o, -ch, -sh, -ss, -x, or -z we add -es in the third person.

For verbs that end in a consonant + y, we remove the y and add -ies. Examples: •

marry - marries study - studies carry - carrie

For verbs that end in a vowel + y, we just add -s.
