OUTLANDER
INSPIRED

BEAUCHAMP
COWL

This cowl pattern is really easy and quick. You just knit every row carrying 4
strands of yarn held together throughout. It is perfect for beginners or for that
knitter who needs an easy project for those distracted times in our lives! Very
little thinking involved with this one!
The length of this finished cowl allows it to be twisted and doubled which
achieves a similar look and appearance to the one worn by the character Claire
Beauchamp in the Outlander series. Gauge is not important and the desired
length of the cowl is totally up to you.

Note: I began this project using a provisional cast on method because I like the
appearance of a finished joined seam when grafting the live stitches together,
especially in garter stitch, but you can choose whatever method you like in order
to join the ends together. (Lots of info out there on the Internet on how to do the
provisional cast on).
Yarn: 2 skeins of Briggs and Little Heritage, 2 Ply, 100% Pure wool

Color: Brown Heather

Knitting Needle Size: 19mm - 35US, which gave an approximate finished size of

12 inches wide by 34 inches long.

Directions:
With 4 strands of yarn held together, CO 15 stitches.
Knit every row (garter stitch) keeping the 4 strands of yarn held together
throughout for approximately 34 inches (or until desired length).
Bind Off and apply your favourite method to join the ends together.
Finish by blocking or steaming.
Enjoy!
