Adravyabhuta Chikitsa in Manasa Roga

ABSTRACT

The AyurvedicChikitsa revolves around the care ofphysical, mental and spiritual
health of human being. The three pillars Manas, Atma and Sareera jointly
integrates to fulfil the objectives of life as well as Ayurveda. In achieving the
Hitayu and the Sukhayu, the manas plays a significant role and disturbed mano-
karma impedes the healthy state of a person.
Manoroga an entity, which includes a vast variety of the psychological and
psychosomatic disorders in which the Karma of Manas are affected and
disturbed.
A stable &harmonious equilibrium between Human & his Enviornment is needed
to reduce human’s vulnerability to mental diseases &to lead a more productive &
satisfying life. Adravyabhuta Chikitsa includes Behavioral and moral codes in
terms of Daivavyapashraya and Sattvavajaya chikitsa have great value in
prevention as well as cure in psychological management of Manas Roga.
Present paper highlights the implication of adravyabhuta Chikitsa in manasika
vikara.
