Weekly Report: Lower Court 1(week 3)

In this week I was given the work of reading and analysing the case. This case was of
domestic violence.
Mainly this case was of domestic violence filed by the lady(petitioner & victim) against her
husband.
It all started as the husband started sending legal notices to his wife for vacating the house
she was currently residing in and moving somewhere else in the current situation of this
pandemic. She came to my lawyers office to seek help, where she was told about the
domestic violence act and about the maintenance she can claim under Adoptions and
Maintenance Act, 1955, CRPC etc. and she decided to file such a suit.
After she filed the suit the order was passed in her favour. After a month or so, her husband
got a rise in his salary and failed to pay the monthly maintenance, so she again filed a petition
regarding the failure of her monthly maintenance. In which it was ordered that as per section
127 of CRPC, there was an alteration in the monthly maintenance which was ordered
previously.
