FIRST PHASE CUT-OFF DATE ANNOUNCEMENT for ROLLING ADVERTISEMENT
No. NITS/Estt/Faculty/Advt/01/2021 Dated 02.07.2021 FOR RECRUITMENT
TO FACULTY POSITIONS
In continuation of Recruitment notification No. NITS/Estt/Faculty/Advt/01/2021 dated
02.07.2021, National Institute of Technology Silchar announces the First Phase cut-off date for
submission of applications as 17th September 2021. All qualifications and experiences will be
considered up to the cutoff date. All the applicants who have submitted/will submit their
provisional applications against the notification No. NITS/Estt/Faculty/Advt/01/2021 dated
02.07.2021 can update their details in the recruitment portal using existing login credentials and
must submit the Final Application on or before the cutoff date. The already submitted provisional
application within the cut-off date will also be considered for processing even if it is not updated
and in those cases the provisional application within 17th September 2021 will be considered as
final application.
New applicants may continue to apply for the posts advertised through online portal only. URL:
http://recruitment.nits.ac.in/ after 17th September 2021. However, applications submitted after
17th September 2021 will not be considered for First phase Recruitment against the Rolling
Advertisement. The cutoff date for second phase Recruitment against the same rolling
advertisement will be announced later.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Candidates willing to apply for the posts advertised are requested to apply through online portal
URL: http://recruitment.nits.ac.in/
2. After submission of the application, the scanned copy of the application form duly signed by
the candidate along with documents uploaded at the time of applying has to be forwarded to
the Email Id: faculty_appt_21@nits.ac.in with Subject line “Final Application for the post of
<Name of the Post><Category> <Name of the Department>:<Applicant Name>”.
3. Candidates willing to apply for one or more posts in a department, can apply with single
registration. However, candidates willing to apply for one or more departments will have to
register separately.
4. All the supporting documents must be in PDF format only with size less than 2MB. For research
publications, upload only the first page of the paper.
5. Persons employed in Government and Semi-Government organizations should upload the NOC
along with appointment order as single PDF. The original NOC must be submitted at the time
of interview. The candidates willing to apply through proper channel are required to take the
print out of the downloaded pdf file of the final application and send it through proper channel
to the following address.

6. Candidates are encouraged to check the institute website regularly for any update.
7. All qualifications and experiences will be considered up to the cutoff date.
8. Applicants, who have submitted their provisional application, may submit their final application
through the recruitment portal using existing login credentials.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The institute reserves the right to cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason thereof.
2. The prescribed qualifications and experiences are minimum and mere possession of the
same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
3. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates, who are not called for interview or
selected for appointment.
4. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification of candidature.
5. Legal disputes, if any, will be restricted within the jurisdiction of Silchar Court only.
6. The candidate must bring the printed copy of the application form duly signed by him/her at
the time of personal interview, if called for, with all original documents, Government Issued
ID card and must submit self-attested photocopies of the documents. They are also required
to submit self-attested copy of Government issued ID card along with two copies of colored
passport-size photograph at the time of interview, if called for.
7. All reserved category candidates shall be required to submit self-attested copies of the
latest Caste/ EWS certificate issued by competent authority at the time of interview, if
called for, with all original documents. Similarly, PWD candidates shall be required to
submit proof of physical disability certificate of permanent nature from competent medical
authority at the time of interview, if called for, with all original documents.
8. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
9. No accommodation can be provided for attending the interview.
10. Candidates are requested to provide their active email id and mobile phone
numbers/landline phone numbers in the application form for easy contact.
11. The institute reserves the right to reject any or all applications or it may amend any of the
clauses above as per the orders of the competent authority/Govt. of India.
12. Incomplete/unsigned applications shall be summarily rejected and no communication in this
regard shall be entertained.
13. Candidates can raise queries while filling up the application form in the application portal at
the email ID: faculty_recruit_helpdesk@nits.ac.in. It may be noted that the response time for
any query may be at least 24 hours. Hence Institute will not be responsible for any kind of
problem for last moment submission.
