Hey everyone! Welcome to the Surely Simple Guide to Brush Lettering in

lowercase! This is a quick guide in learning the basics of modern calligraphy.
Now you might have some questions…
What pens can I use for this? You can use any larger brush tipped pens for this worksheet.
Can I print this again and again? For sure! Print it out how many times you like and
practice!
I want to see lettering action! Where can I find videos, and more free guides? At
@surelysimplechallenge! I’m curating a feed of ‘teachers’ who shall help you discover how
they letter and also you’ll be seeing a free set of handwriting/brushlettering samples on each
letter every day by me! I’ll also be making my own A-Z series experimenting with different
media at @surelysimpleblog, so if you wish to get some more ideas- follow both those
accounts to learn alongside with practicing your own alphabets!
I see people getting featured on your instagram accounts and the website
(www.surelysimple.com). How can I get featured too (and gain some exposure?) It’s
simple. If you do good work, have great presentation either in your photos or videos you
post along with the tagging your photos properly (always add #surelysimple to your post
and also the secondary tag, for example- for letter A, it’s #surelysimple_A), it’s pretty
likely that you’ll be featured! If you want to win an interview and feature of your work on the
website, I’m looking out for people who manage to complete the challenge (lettering an
alphabet a day)!
