Some stories take more effort than others.

It might take five hours to do a $50 story, or it might

take 30 minutes. I always felt it would average out in the end. But I did at one time have a deal
with a freelancer for very short stories at $15 each. But we did agree up front which one it was
before she wrote it. First look around and see what might be available. Even in big cities there
are small publications that might need a freelancer, and there are often local news websites there
that also need people. Look in the suburbs and in small towns in the area. Sometimes big city
papers have smaller publications too.

Though I love to read. Articles, short articles in particular for a person with short attention span
like me. Most of my free time would go through scanning my Facebook feed and going through
articles popping up in my news feed. Though slowly I realized, that there was a trend
in all those articles. They were mostly written by men. And hence they were mostly written on
things which were liked by them. Their views, their jokes, their interests, the definition of win
and loss, definition of happy life, design of international policies, company policies.. Everything.
From big to small. It had an undertone. Male undertone.

Centuries of governing, with attempts consistently made to make government work, from party
to party, have fallen relatively short in the eyes of most Americans. Bureaucracy and the
unending pursuit of political points undermines the greater good, with folks in Congress seeking
not to improve the lives of Americans, but their reelection chances. Government focuses not on
the outcome, but the optics of the decision or program itself.

Short-selling puts the investor into a position of unlimited risk and a capped reward. For
example, if an investor enters into a short position on a stock trading at $20, the most they can
gain is $20 per share (stock to goes to $0), while the most they can lose is infinite since the stock
can theoretically increase in price forever. That said, a short position can be closed at any time.
Therefore, traders can manage risk on short positions the same as they would when buying a
stock.
