Brief History of the Company/Company

Profile
Qtech Business Solution Inc. (formerly Qtech BPO) is a software development company and
electronic security hardware integrators based in the Philippines. Qtech’s services are offered
globally on a project or strategic-staffing basis in both custom and off-the-shelf package
environments across all technology platforms, operating systems and infrastructures. We also
offer system integration and consultancy with superior value-priced services and reliable
delivery for both private and government sector clients.

Realizing the increasing demand for IT services in the region, Qtech Business Solutions
Incorporated was established by a group of IT practitioners from database and network
administrators to software engineers and IT Educators. It is an IT solutions provider which offers
products and services that caters to all aspects of Information Technology from the smallest to
the largest enterprises in the Philippines, the Pacific Rim, US, and recently in Germany. Q-tech
is currently the only IT solutions provider located in the progressive city of Lucena. The
company is composed of IT professionals based in the region with over 30 years of solid
experience in systems development, database administration, server maintenance, mainframe
operation and network administration.

Since 2006, Qtech’s developed and deployed various Transaction Processing Systems (TPS)
from Payroll, POS, Inventory and the likes and installed to Manufacturing and Industrial Plants,
Wholesalers/ Retailers, Groceries, Restaurants/Hotels and even Local Government Units. They
providing clients an option to directly buy these systems or hire our company to act as their ICT
department for a certain period.

Qtech Business Solution Inc. was in 3F, SB Building, Enverga corner Osmena Streets, Lucena
City. But they decided to move over and have particular headquarters in L3 B4 Birch St. Lovely
Meadows Subdivision, Calmar Homes, Tayabas City. Unilever, Paotsin, HKR (Philippine HKR
Inc.), Ichinomiya Electronics Philippines Corporation, Raquel Pawnshop Inc., and Kamayan sa
Palaisdaan these are some of the Qtech’s clients.

Summary of the OJT Experience
Throughout my OJT, I’ll find a company that accepts a trainee. I inquire to Qtech Business
Solution Inc. I submitted all the requirements to OJT Supervisor to start as soon possible. I
experienced and learned through my OJT in the Qtech Business Solution Inc. Although our OJT
was home based because of the pandemic, I also need to do the task provided. Though we have
more days to spend in home to do our task, I’m just thinking that I’m in a real job, makes the
task easier and done as soon as possible.

There’s a given task for me that been sent via email by the OJT coordinator. The OJT
coordinator explained to us, all of the trainee in Qtech BSI, what to do first and. I did the task
provided from the OJT Coordinator. I immediately do every task that given to me whether it is
hard or not. To be punctual in the corporate world is very important. Professionalism is one
attitude to be learnt. Also, I was able to works with my fellow student for doing some task, I am
able share my knowledge, skills and capability.

You never know; they might hire you after the internship or in the future

Being a trainee, they allow us to test out specific techniques learned in school before entering the
working world. It is an opportunity to apply what we have learned in a safe environment where
mistakes are expected rather than learn the hard way in our first job out of college.

Assessment of the OJT/Practicum
A. New knowledge, attitudes and skills acquired
I experienced and learned a lot through my OJT in the Qtech Business Solution
Inc. Although our OJT was home based, I also need to do the task provided.
Though we have more days to spend in home to do our task, I’m just thinking that
I’m in a real job, makes the task easier and done as soon as possible. There’s a
major/minor task that we need to do. The OJT coordinator explained the task that
we need to do first before doing other task.

B. Theories actually seen in practice

Providing the importance of learning, that will improve our personality and
knowledge of many things. Being student is having a lot of fun, lots of wonderful
and useful things to learn and always learn new things. To overcome the obstacles
of difficult teachers, to pay attention in an hour and a half classes, sometimes it
took three hours and finally the ability to do well in order to graduate. In real
world, being independent and figuring things on your own are exciting. This also
means having deal with different people more often, making new friends, and new
environment. All we can do now being a student is to enjoy in schools, learn
whatever we can, be inspired, love the path we take and finally do our best in
everything we do with positive thought.

C. Feedback that can be given to the company/institution

In the span of my home base OJT in QTECH BSI, I can say that the company is a
doing the things that they meant to do. The products or the system is amazing.

D. Benefits gained
As a trainee, they allow us to test out specific techniques learned in school before
entering the working world. It’s an opportunity to apply what we have learned in
a safe environment where mistakes are expected rather than learn the hard way in
our first job out of college.

E. Problems encountered
Sometimes, the encountered problems by the trainees are the time conflicts.
Between our thesis, classes and OJT schedules and lack of self-confidence.
