Maintenance Winch - Operating a conveyor head pulley removal / maintenance trolley (on guided
rails)

A maintenance winch is provided for operating the head pulley removal/ maintenance trolley on head end of Coarse
ore conveyor 0220-CVB-002. The trolley is used for transporting the head pulley, and head chute impact plate from
the head end of conveyor to unloading areas approximately 80 metres (for head chute) and 100 metres (for head
pulley) along the stacker structure (or vice versa). Figure 35 below shows the maintenance unloading areas.

The winch is located on the platform below the trolley unloading area and wire rope is connected to the trolley
through a single sheave arrangement. Refer Figure 34 below.

An electric hoist, 0220-CNH-026 with 10t lifting capacity is provided for head chute replacement during
maintenance.

A mobile crane will be used for handling the head pulley during maintenance.
