Fatality Incident (Crushing)

Fatality was occurred in Tabouk Electricity Department (Projects Division) for one of the contractor employees as
the result of crushing accident.

Brief Description:
Work started on 07/09/2019, at 12:00 PM, which was replacement of an old transformer with new one in the
substation (13.8 kV/400 V).
Work Summary:
During the introduction of the new transformer in the transformers’ room and before stabilizing its positions, the end
of the transformer descended into the cable rails (Cables Trenches), which led to the tilt of the transformer on the
worker, while he was been standing between transformer & room wall and the worker was affected (crushing).
Victim Name: Khan Suhrab - Indian nationality. May God have mercy on him.
