 Nominated for Wellborn Outstanding Teaching Award (2017). The Kathy Wellborn Outstanding
Teaching Award recognizes non-tenure track faculty and their contributions to the College as lecturers and
part-time instructors for multiple semesters.
 Received SkyHawk Award from student athlete (2016)
 Recipient of Colorado Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) Presidential Award (2015):
Wrote the successful application for a bilingual Navajo and Spanish endorsement.  Fort Lewis is the first
institution in the state of Colorado to receive a Navajo bilingual endorsement and we were honored for this
work with the Colorado Association of Bilingual Education Presidential Award.
