FESTIVAL DE AYACUCHO
The Festival of the Carnival of Ayacucho , The
Ayacuchano Carnival is a festival held in the city of
Ayacucho, Peru, in the month of February, for three
days. For three days, colorful comparsas, typical
costumes, dances and regional foods take over the
streets and squares creating an atmosphere of mischief.

The troupes roam the streets with songs and dances typical
of the date, in this festival also highlights the contest of the
songs that each of the troupes interprets and that present in
them curious and original lyrics. The talcum powder baths
and the thousands of multicolored streamers that dress the
city these days are typical, adding even more joy to the
party.
