“Students cannot take the cell phone to the classroom?”. Do you agree or
disagree? Write an essay (within 250 words) to express our ideas.

Nowadays, it comes as no surprise if a student has his own smartphone


except for young children under six years old. Many secondary and high schools
don't let the students take their mobile phones to school because of some reason
of its. However, it is important to provide students with the convenience of this
advanced device.

On the one hand, in this modern society, students are easily tempted by
games, comics, or the internet and a mobile phone will be a great companion
with a lot of applications. Using mobile phones in the classroom can make
students neglect their studying, it also will be the major cause of eye problems.
In addition, taking the cell phone to school is not safe. Some students have a
luxury and modern smartphone. Others will feel so admire that they can become
thieves.

On the other hand, mobile phones are useful devices to communicate. Many
students who have an emergency situation in school rely on cell phones to
contact family. Furthermore, when you have a situation that might endanger
you, you could talk to your parents, or call the police using your own portable
phone. Some applications in cell phones are also essential for our learning in the
classroom, such as dictionaries or the internet.

In conclusion, many schools do not allow students to bring mobile phones to


avoid bad influences on students' learning. Nevertheless, smartphones are still a
means of communication for everyone.
