INTRO Hi everyone, welcome to another episode of our vlog. I am Jamaica P. Concepcion and for today’s content we will be talking about 8R s of Solid Management. In this topic, we will discover the following: What is solid waste? What are the 8R’s of solid management? How can we manage our solid waste at home using the 8R’s method? So which kind of future can you imagine? A CLEAN AND PROSPREROUS or a WASTELAND Well, the second picture will mostly likely happen if we continue to generate solid waste and fail to deal with it properly. But before we proceed to the 8Rs, let us first define solid waste. Solid waste refers to the range of garbage materials— arising from animal and human activities—that are discarded as unwanted and useless. The two types of solid waste are biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste. Practicing waste management at home while we are young is the best course of action to keep our environment clean. We can do this through the 8 r’s method: Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse Repair Regift Recycle Recover Practice this method, a surely our future will be like this So, practice the 8R’s and invite your friends and family in this mission to keep the environment healthy. If we encourage all people to practice to the same, our future will most likely to look like this. I hope you learned a lot and apply it in your daily life. 0 Reduce means to cut back on the amount of trash we generate is the practice of using less material and energy to minimize waste generation and preserve natural resources z Reuse means to find new ways to use things that otherwise would have been thrown out Just like this box, instead of throwing it, why not use it in another way. I used it as storage of my pens and coloring materials.
Instead of using plastic bag especially when going to the market, you must use eco bag to lessen the waste on the environment. Stop bagging the planet – say NO to plastic bags
to reduce water consumption, use a basin for
