The three most dominant are: the purebred Klingon (ST:TMP), Human crossbreeds (fusions - ST series), and Romulan crossbreeds (only mentioned in writings). Each breed has individualized characteristics (i.e.: Human Fusions have smooth foreheads, Romulan Fusions have pointed ears, etc.) and is valuable in particular situations. Choose which race or crossbreed you would like to be, then continue on from there. Roll % dice against the chart applying Line Status modifiers. Failure means a 10-point penalty on the next attempt. A. character may attempt to bribe his way through the cruise. If successful, add 5 points to your bribery skill. A character who is unsuccessful receives 2 points. If you pass properly, take 5 rolls with 1D10 in any skill. If you fail, roll against your Charisma (applying appropriate modifiers) to determine if you receive a permanent Security Risk Notation and a combined 10-point penalty in both Bribery and Administration. A roll higher than your modified Charisma indicates failure and a risk notation. These risks are nullified if your character passes on a later cruise with an Imperial Commendation. K1in Honor System Drvisrowt: | mormon: £7 uf 7 PLR DATED: Academic A Word about Honor Over the past decade, Klingons have grown from having a reputation for ruthlessness and deception, to gaining a rapport among themselves with honor and loyalty while still maintaining the dignity of a war- rior's code of ethics. To a Klingon, the words “death before dishonor” are taken literally. So, while preservation of the Klingon race is first priority, this is accomplished with honor, and, although promotion is often gained through assassination, respect and loyalty will dictate that assassination is only proper and honorable when the superior of- ficer does not function properly or is showing signs of weakness. This change was brought on at about the time of the establishment of the new Kitumba (approx. time period of ST:TMP), though it took nearly 50 years (Klin) to settle in. At this time, there are still rough edges in the system. A general table is provided to assist in the gaining of honor points. A table is also given to show how these points are applied. Upon acceptance to the fleet, you will be assigned a vessel as well as the rank and position in which you will function. Our fleet's mission is to serve as a mobile patrol along the Klin border to which we are randomly or specifically assigned. On board are operatives of Internal Security (the Klingon version of the CIA or KGB). Occassionally, you may be requested to assist in security functions, such as providing security at interplanetary conventions such as those sponsored by Dreamwerks, Creation, or other convention companies. Your performance in these duties is monitored and recorded in your service record. The purpose of security duty is simple: it provides free- access to canventions, as.:well .as an opportunity to interact with other crewmembers (minimum age requirement: 18 terran years). Upon being contacted by the security department, you will be told to whom you will report, as well as when and where for the specific details of your assignment. Our group also participates in laser tag war games with other organizations, as well as practice matches restricted to fleet members. The equipment necessary for these battles includes the basic set (pistol and sensor pod) and a star cap or helmet. If you do not heve these components and cannot access them through your local PX store, contact Mortas-Te-Kaase, and the Combat Troops Dept. will supply details for obtaining them through the Fleet arsonal. KLIN CODE OF CONDUCT As Klingons, we tend to differ from other organizations such as Starfleet, Romulans, and even other Klingon groups. However, in order to maintain a proper diplomatic front, we should treat all other races and groups with respect. Any personal difficulties or interorganizational disputes should be handled with tact. Our code of honor, as set forth by the Kitumba, dictates that we restrict any violent confrontations to the battlefield, be they verbal or physical in nature. Unresolved difficulties should be brought to the attention of Mortas-Te-Kaase officials. ANY behavior which brings dishonor to the Mortas-Te-Kaase fleet in any way will be severely disciplined. Repeat offenders will be dealt with as is merited by their actions, including termination when necessary. Any terminations of this ‘nature will be posted, so as to inform others of the status of the offending party. (from The Final Reflection) UNIFORMS Mortas-Te-Kaase has a variety of Klin uniforms available on a limited basis. The most common is the Internal Security uniform, available for both males and females (see your membership kit). This uniform consists of a plain black turtleneck shirt, plain black pants, calf- or knee-high black boots (preferably ninja-style), and a red* (kung-fu style) sash worn about the waist and tied on the left. A large Imperial emblem (komerex stella - trefoil) is affixed to the sash and/or 2 small stellas on the neck of the shirt or 1 stella and your rank insignia. It is preferable that a black belt be worn over the sash, with or without the Klin buckle, and the tabbard, as is shown in the illustration. These items are prefer- red, though optional. Black half-gloves (fingerless) are optional, but, again, preferred. This style uniform was created for ease of ‘assembly. Complete uniforms, as well as uniform components, are available through the Ordnance Dept. Many other Klin-style uniforms may be obtained, including weapons of standard issue. The Ordnance Dept. can supply you with a complete list of items which can be ordered. * Red is standard for security.
