 MOTIVATION

•In India, day by day, the number of road accidents are increasing due to over speeding and rash
driving.

•According to the report released by the ministry's Transport Research

Wing, 1,51,113 people were killed, and 4,51,361 persons were injured
in 4,49,002 road crashes in India in 2019.

•Our GOAL is “to come up with something which will that will inform police about these incidents and
help prevent them in the future”
 OBJECTIVES

•Finding methods on how it can be implemented

•Designing a theoretical smart camera
•Doing a small experiment on traffic surveillance on speed testing
HOW DOES A SMART CAMERA WORK
 ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

• Our MAIN idea is –

Installing cameras with speed sensors and detectors in street
• Its Advantages are
1. It can be used to note down the speed of moving vehicles and count its number
2. It must be programmed to take photo of cars moving with greater speeds and strict action
can be taken against them
3. It can be used to regulate traffic
• Its Disadvantages are
1. Costly: A lot of capital is required to make this idea possible
ELECTRONICS ASPECTS
• Cameras must be embedded with chips
which will intake the image convert it
and process it .
• Cameras must have network connection
for successful transmission of data so
arrangements for it should also be
made.
MECHANICAL ASPECTS
• Knowing the structure of the smart
camera
• All the process must be automatic and
completely machine controlled
 WORK LEFT FOR PHASE 2

• We will be trying to build a cost effective theoretical model of a smart

camera.
• We will be doing a small experiment on traffic surveillance using python
programming language
