II. SUMMARY The usage of marijuana-derived products for medicinal purposes has grown in recent years.
These phytocannabinoid molecules come from the marijuana plant, Cannabis sativa and Cannabis indica. The
literature has expanded, and one of the primary areas of study is the anti-seizure effect of THC and CBD in
refractory epilepsy in children. THC is a psychoactive compound that has been shown to exacerbate seizure
activity; CBD is a non-psychoactive compound that has been shown to have antiepileptic effects in both
anecdotal and scientific data and the endocannabinoid system's involvement in epileptogenesis has prompted
research into the use of exogenous cannabinoids to treat epilepsy.CBD, either alone or in a CBD-enriched
cannabis herbal extract, has been found to reduce seizure frequency in children with refractory epilepsy in
many investigations, mostly retrospective or small-scale observational.

III. NURSING IMPLICATIONS

A. To Nursing Practice

Nurses who work in hospitals or in nursing practice will find it easier to treat children with
Refractory Epilepsies because of Cannabidiol Treatment, and there is no need for brain surgery because
some children with Refractory Epilepsies require brain surgery, but in Cannabidiol Treatment, they
give CBD oil to lessen the seizure of a child with Refractory Epilepsies.

B. To Nursing Education

The relevance of this article in nursing curriculum and to our client is that we will be aware that
cannabis has many good health benefits and the Cannabidiol Treatment safer than brain surgery since
there is no guarantee that the procedure will be successful and, most importantly, to alleviate the pain or
suffering of the children who have Refractory Epilepsies.

C. To Nursing Research

As for the nursing research I believe that cannabis has a good impact in to are society and there is still a
lot of health benefits are still not yet discovered by are scientist.

IV. PERSONAL INSIGHTS

I agree with Cannabidiol Treatment for Refractory Epilepsies in Pediatrics because as what I read there
is a lot of children who have been relieved in experiencing severe seizure and also to help the parents
because its hard to have a son that has Refractory Epilepsies and I hope it will be legal in other countries
but for medical use only.
