To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this reference at the request of Phillip Khaskin. I have known Phillip for two years
in my capacity as a teacher at CSCS and as the DECA adviser. He took Marketing III from me
and earned superior grades in that class as well as in Marketing I & II from a different
instructor. I chose him to be this year’s president for DECA based on his achievements as an
officer last year.

Based on his grades, attendance, and class participation, I’d rate his academic performance in
my class as exceptional. His efforts as an officer for DECA were exemplary. Phillip has many
strengths to offer an employer. He is a leader and facilitated many fund-raising events. He is
always interested in helping others. For example, he managed a project for competition that
raised over $1500 for a charitable organization. In addition, he helped motivate other members.
This year, he is likely to double the DECA membership from the previous year in his role as
president.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend Phillip Khaskin. Based on my experiences with

Phillip, he will be an extremely positive addition to your organization. If you need any
