Define the difference between nutrition and nutrient.

Nutrition

- Nutrition is a component of the human diet that distinguishes essential nutrients

from non-essential nutrients by focusing on the food, that provide energy for
everyday activities. Our meal comprises energy (calories) and nutrients
(carbohydrates, lipids, protein, minerals, vitamins, and water). In general,
nutrition is a person's food consumption, and each person's calorie demands
vary. Eating nutritious meals in the appropriate proportions provides the body
energy, helps people maintain a healthy physique, and can decrease their risk of
illnesses like diabetes and heart disease.

Nutrient

- Food contains chemical compounds that the body requires to break down to
maintain our healthy development of health, correctly function the body, and
protect against infection. Carbohydrates, fat, protein, minerals, vitamins, and
water are examples of nutrients. Nutrients could well be identified by reading text
marketing of a food product; we can identify what specific nutrient it includes and
the proportion of that nutrient.
