Question 1. Do you like travelling?

I have itchy feet. I often come to intriguing landscapes to explore new things, such as
new people, new cultures, new landscape and enjoy the local cuisines. It’s a way to
broaden my horizons.
• Itchy feet: thành ngữ ngứa chân, người thích đi đây đi đó
• broaden my horizons: mở rộng tầm nhìn/ mở mang tầm mắt.
• intriguing landscapes: cảnh đẹp, rất thu hút

Question 2. Are there many tourists visiting your country?

I’s say that Vietnam has gained a reputation for one of the must-visit places in the
world, so it is famous for a ton of beautiful landscapes, so this satisfies tourist’s
expectation. We have many choices of tourism, historical places, natural spots or
somewhere off the beaten track.
• I’d say that: 1 số filler – từ đệm như từ này sẽ giúp bạn điểm cao đây, nghe tinh
tế lắm^^. Tôi muốn nói rằng
• must-visit places: những nơi phải đến, tương tự, a must-read book: quyển sách
phải đọc, a must-wacth movie: phim phải xem, bạn có thể dung A must- + danh
từ bạn muốn nha
• somewhere off the beaten track. : đây là nói nơi vùng quê đẹp yên tĩnh, không có
khói xe hay người nhiều. Dùng cụm này là examiner tái xanh mặt – cho điểm ngay
được rồi ^^.

Question 3. In which seasons do you prefer to travel?

Summer, summer is the best time for trip, especially trips to the beach. Not only
because of summer vacation, but also because I love the sun, I can go for a dip, sun-
bathing and a ton of outdoor activities such as volleyball, swimming.

Question 4. Do you prefer travelling alone or with a group?

I tend to prefer travelling with group of people. You know, simply because I want
something safe and sound. On top of that, It’s also kinda economical, you know, when
you can split the costs of accommodation or foods. And yeah, it seems to me that the
more, the merrier.

PART 2 – LANDSCAPES .

What: I’m gonna tell you about my favorite place. That is Phu Quoc island.
Where: You know, Phu Quoc island, located in the south of Vietnam, and it has gained a
reputation for being a paradise of resorts or the most pristine and untouched
beach in Vietnam. And what’s more, it is a perfect place for travelling and
photography.
• Gain a reputation for = famous for: dung cụm này để nói về đạt được
sự nổi tiếng nhé. Hay quá chừng
• Pristine and untouched beach là nói về các biển còn đẹp của hoang sơ,
chưa bị tác động của con người.
When: Several months ago, my friend took a trip there and then introduced me. She
told me that it is a must-travel place. Then I googled and searched for further
information on the internet about accommodation, foods, and places of
interest. I was quite excited to visit this attraction. From where I am living now,
it is far way around 2000 kilometers and of course, it takes us around 2 hours to
get there.
How: You know there are many reasons why I love this place so much. Firstly, it is
incredibly beautiful with thousands of things to explore , especially undersea
world. I went for a dip = went swimming and immersed myself in water and I
experienced the memorable swimming to see magnificent coral and the
magical marine life. I also took a camera with me to capture the stunning,
breathtaking natural sceneries, the painted sunset. Other than that, how
amazing it was when tasting local cuisines as well as delicious seafood.
• Magnificent: tính từ: mỹ lệ, đẹp kiểu xuất sắc
• Breathtaking: tính từ: đẹp đến mức ngộp thở, thấy đẹp mà mà thở
không đều.
• The painted sunset: hoàng hôn đẹp như tranh
Why: All of things are amazing and worth trying. Secondly , I do a nine-to-five-grind,
sometimes, it is very boring, but sometimes, I get exhausted by somethings like

deadlines or customers. So, travelling to this place, I could breathe fresh air to
unwind or just get my thought centered.
• A nine –to –five –grind : thành ngữ: công việc văn phòng nhàm chám
• Unwind: thành ngữ: thư giãn = let my hair down = let off some steam
• Get my thought centered: thành ngữ: tĩnh tâm.

Question 1. Why do people prefer visiting natural landscapes to buildings?
Sau khi suy nghĩ một chút, tôi cho là lý do chính mà người ta thích cảnh tự nhiên hơn các
cảnh vật toà nhà là vì họ đã quá quen với các công trình bê tông (concrete
constructions) như là công ty văn phòng, trường học hay nhà máy. Vì vậy, họ muốn đến
những nơi tự nhiên như núi đồi, biển cả để thay đổi không gian thư giãn. Ngoài ra, các
cảnh vật tự nhiên luôn mang đến cảm giác tươi mới. Các nghiên cứu cho thấy rằng, màu
xanh lá cây hoặc màu xanh biển cả thường khiến con người thấy dễ chịu.
 After a bit of thought, I can point to the main reason why people prefer
natural landscapes over the urban jungles is that they are too familiar with the
concrete constructions like office buildings, schools or factories. Therefore, they
would love a retreat to open spaces like the woods or the beaches for a change.
In addition, untouched scenery always makes people feel fresh and relaxing.
Studies suggest that the colour green and blue tend to chill people out.

Question 2. Why do many people often change their jobs?

Du lịch sinh thái đang dần phổ biến ở Việt Nam trong những năm gần đây. Tuy nhiên, nó
không có nhiều sự đặc sắc/ không thu hút được nhiều người vì một số tính hạn chế như
sau. Thứ nhất, chỉ có một vài các vườn sinh thái ở Việt Nam, như vườn quốc gia Cúc
Phương, vì vậy du khách, đặc biệt là người Việt Nam sẽ ưu tiên cho nhiều sự lựa chọn
khác. Thứ hai, tôi nghĩ tôi khá thích hình thức du lịch Xanh này vì nó khiến con người có
cơ hội nhìn ngắm động thực vật, từ đó nâng cao sự trân quý (enhance the appreciation)
đối với tự nhiên.
 Ecotourism has been gaining in popularity in recent years. Nevertheless, it
is not always the most iconic or attractive due to some limitations. The most
notable of which is that there have only been a few reserves in Viet Nam that
open for business, such as the Cuc Phuong National Park, therefore tourists,
especially local ones, would opt for other destinations. However, I do fancy this
type of travelling because it gives people the precious chance to admire the
beauty of nature, which will enhance their appreciation for the environment.
