  Stage 1: Technology and its effects on the environment (1st
week)

Write about technological advancement and the effect on the ecosystem.

I want to open with you a discussion about modern technology an itsimplications

on environment. In my opinión I consider that technologyhas had a variety of both

positive and negative impacts, for example.On the positive I can say access to the

internet, mobile phones andsocial media has made people more informed about

current events. And when asked about the impact of social media on

the broaderpolitical process, majorities in nine of these 11 countries say they

havein creased the ability for ordinary citizens to take part in the political

processThe effect of technology on the environment is so huge that there

aredrastic climate changes around the world.There is damage in the form

of global warming, extinction of birds,plants and also greater propensity for

diseases, my recommendation isto finish overconsumption, overexploitation,

pollution, and deforestation.

¿What do you think will happen if current trends of technology developmentand

consumerism continue?

I consider As well as obvious social and economic problems,

consumerism is destroying our environment. As the demand for goodsincreases,

the need to produce these goods also increases. This leads tomore pollutant

emissions, increased land-use and deforestation, andaccelerated climate

change; for example If everyone on earth consumedthe same amount as the

average US citizen four planet earths would beneeded to sustain us.to the rising

levels of consumption for the last decade or so, e-wastebecame the fastest-

growing part of all the stuff we throw away. And thisstuff is full of toxins that if not

properly removed, re-used or recycled, can poison the land, air and wáter, as well

as the bodies of worker exposed to the chemical contents.

 Stage 3: What can be done?

Write your advice on how we can contribute to the improvement of current

environmental crisis.

I can contribute to the improvement with recycle , this is the most commonand, in

most cities, the easiest, most accessible thing we can do for the environment. Most

cities in Los Angeles County provide separate containersfor trash, recyclables and
garden clippings as well as convenient pickup. Wecan recycle many household

items, including computers, printer cartridges, aluminum cans, paper, plastic

bottles, milk jugs, batteries, steel containers,glass and much more.create groups

eco friendly and Make ecological awareness part of our socialfabric and culture as

Americans. The more you learn about the complex relationships between living

things and their environment, the better. Talk to your family and friends about the

things you know and learn.
