MATHEMATICS : A REFLECTION PAPER
Mathematics expresses itself everywhere. When you wake up in the morning and take a
glance at the clock, then you begin counting the
numbers to figure out what time it is, that’s
mathematics. At the point when you go to recreation
centers and notice that the blossoms have interesting
shapes that makes them beautiful, that is likewise a
piece of mathematics explicitly geometry. At the point
when you ride a jeepney in going to class, and you
tally your cash for the charge, that’s obviously
mathematics. To put it simple, in all that we do and in all that encompasses us, mathematics
can be seen.
I learnt about the intriguing examination of math's remarkable power over the centuries
from the two films I watched. Because we live in an age of incredible technological
advancements, mathematics has found its
way into almost every aspect of human
existence. The spiral at the heart of a
sunflower, the swirl of a nautilus shell, and
the vortex of a galaxy all appear to have an
inexplicable link. Math was essential to everything from the first wireless radio transmissions to
the prediction and discovery of the Higgs boson and the successful landing of rovers on Mars. It
is also used to discover nature’s underlying rhythms and irregularities. Mathematics does so
well in explaining everything that we see.
Something deeper lies underneath the discoveries
and creations made possible by the power of
mathematics. I believe there is far more to
mathematics than we can possibly comprehend in
the near future. Patterns has been a common topic in
the video. Mathematics appears to have been
developed by humans, however animals have this
notion of math as well, but not in the same way that
people do. However, as it was claimed that math existed even
before the first Homo sapiens, it seemed reasonable that Math
existed before us. The Fibonacci sequence, golden ratios, golden

spirals, golden angles, pi, and geometry are all presented and introduced in this film. Fibonacci
sequence is very common in plants. Golden ratios, golden spirals, and golden angles is also
used to create a building that feels entirely in proportion. Pi is also utilized in most building and
construction computations, as well as quantum physics, communications, music theory,
medical operations, air travel, and space transportation. These are the examples of application
of numbers in nature that I’ve learned from watching the two films.
Mathematics appears to be the universal language. It reveals a pattern that, when taken
as a whole, aids us in understanding the world. However, it falls short in a few areas.
Mathematics is either pre-existing and we have only recently found it, or it is something we
develop and is a product of our minds. Nevertheless, I believe that mathematics expresses itself
everywhere.
