and national context and in the global context in the past 5 years? Please describe the situation
in which you find these problems and indicate how many years you have been involved in this
advocacy.

where the sisters are assigned.

The current year, described Philippines as a developing country; thus the above mentioned issues
are evident throughout the archipelago. Most Filipino children are deprived with their rights like
basic needs for physical education, food, universal state paid education, health care, safety and
protection, etc. Causes: dysfunctional family, lack of job opportunity, etc.

Since 1986, taking care of the abandoned, neglected and orphaned children is one of the main
concerns of the congregation. In 2009, a home for Special children was established to address the
needs of children with disabilities. Years later, a school for special children was established to serve
the children inside the institution and children in the nearby barangays. In the year 2009, a home for
special children was established. In 2015, a Diocesan women center for abused girls and women was
established to give the victims/survivors a safe house where they could feel safe and empowered.

the abandoned, neglected, orphaned children ages 0 to 12. Every case is unique and being
processed accordingly. If the child has no family or nearest relatives, the child’s must have
Certification that she/he is Legally Available for Adoption by the Department of Social Welfare

Board for matching (meaning - finding family that will suit the needs of the child). If appropriate
family is found, the adoption will proceed. Monitoring of Adoption is done by the Adoption
