Writing in Response to Reading

Text is a word that gives a set of meanings to the reader, examining the info. Some

text examples include written words in a book, song, Ontario, to name a few. The traditional

print text is more of an interest to me, especially the stories in magazines. Multimedia texts

help me in logical thinking to combine my thoughts. Reading and writing are related because

the variety of reading genres allows students to acquire text structures and language and

transfer their writing skills. Reading and writing help each other to improve the fluency and

comprehension of each (Vaughn et al. 1998, 62). Critical reading is a combination of specific

processes, models, theories, and questions to improve clarity and understanding (Vaughn et

al. 1998, 62). My attitude towards writing was influenced by my composition class back in

high school that needed metacognitive work. I have troubled writing because I had

difficulties making concentration or focusing on a personal reading to borrow ideas from

texts to include them in my writing.

My writing rituals help me in routine preparation to think of my most creative ideas

that will help in writing fruitfully. I write best in a noise-free environment and morning hours

after resting since my mind is a bit more fresh and active (Vaughn et al. 1998, 62). In the

writing process, I enjoy more about going with the fact that each character has their speaking

time in my writing, and each story has its rhythm. I enjoy least writing in a public zone

during times of revision working or tinkering with ideas. "In my previous classes and from

my own writing experience, I've learned that the three most important rules about writing

are:

 to develop a thesis statement to express the ideas and not to impress,

 to use a simple and formal language to express your ideas to your audience, and

 Be precise in your word choice to ensure there is number agreement."

Realistic Writing goals helps me in reducing disappointments and increasing the

chances of success in my writing process. Writing well helps me in other subjects because I

know work organization with expressing main ideas and analysing points correctly for a

better score. My two goals for this week will be:

 I will plan my writing to understand how to incorporate and cite evidence to avoid

copyright issues and plagiarism of other writers' ideas.

 I want to focus on my paper's organization using the Writing Center's MEAL plan to

ensure every paragraph discusses one idea.

Templates of templates are parameters that use templates whose parameters are also

templates to pass a type of argument. The template of the template represents all information

or images that writers need to include in their blog posts, articles, or web pages. Templates

are not considered as plagiarism because they use more of structures or formulas in different

wording.

Summaries are meant to inform the reader or the audience a shortened and accurate

description of the main ideas, concepts, theories, and features in a written text. The content of

a summary includes each paragraph's main ideas, the evidence to support each point's main

idea, and will only have what is in the text. (Vaughn et al. 1998, 62) The summary will

indicate the author, the title, and the publication date of the text. Beginning my writing with

what others are saying helps me create attention to the readers who are eager to know my

stance for or against the other writer's ideas. Summarizing a debate to explore an issue helps

in analysing the ideas in an organized manner. Read for conversation is getting an

understanding of the views the writer is responding to and also figuring the writer's argument

based on those ideas (Vaughn et al. 1998, 62). Closest cliché syndrome is a case of a writer

mistaking a cliché for another writer's view. To avoid such mistakes, a writer can explain

from other authors their idea towards that cliché before they make their views and judgment

on the author's views. My strategy in responding to a text is getting opinions from different

writers about an idea before responding.
