(The Nature of the Human Person)
Chapter 1-NSTP Program

Directions: Write your answers on the lines provided. (Ten (10) points each. Maximum of 100 words.)

1. According to philosophical view, what is a human person? Cite specific examples?

It confuse to believe in the given philosophical views in the book but somehow, they
have some point but this one I believe in philosophical views I read. No man's knowledge
can go beyond his experience, according to John Locke. People are represented as tabula
rasa, or a blank slate, in Locke's philosophy. He believes that we have been born knowing
nothing at all and that humans learn by experiencing the world. This philosophical
perspective of human beings by John Locke, I believe, best describes us. We are born with
no prior knowledge of anything, but we are able to learn and grow our self through our life
experiences.

2. Why was the human nature patterned after the image of God?

The human nature patterned after the images of God because he is the father of
all us, I believed that we formed after the image of God. according to Genesis 1:27 "So
God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he
created them". Does not suggest that God is in human form, but rather that humans are in
the image of God spiritual, moral, and intellectual nature. As a result, humans mirror God's
godliness in their ability to realize the unique characteristics with which they have been
gifted, qualities that know them from all the creatures: rational or thinking, moral,
emotions, have rights, dignity, freedom, embodied, and social.
